Pretty sweet stuff on Vivek

Vivek is obviously a man of vision, and decision. He doesn't appear to put a price tag on his dream, nor will he accept less than his vision. The future should be exciting with him at the helm.

The more quotes I hear from him, the more I'm starting to believe that he will indeed lure some big names to come play in Sacramento..and they won't be disappointed about anything. It appears we will be in for a very entertaining ride for a long long time.

A rebuilding year or two can actually be a lot of fun, when we know it's actually leading to something of substance

Your last line nailed it! For the last 5 or 6 years we heard all the right things, but saw little in the way of results. After a while, PR gets old and unbelievable. But if fans start to believe that the new group is working toward the goal of bringing a winning team to Sacramento, then I think they'll be willing to be patient. As you said, rebuilding can actually be fun if you start to see the results of that rebuild. I might add, that if your able to start a rebuild with Cousins already in the fold, your way ahead of the game.

Now this may come off insulting to Sacto area peeps, but I truly think that you need an outsider to come in if you are going to see that kind of ambition. One of Sacramento's greatest weaknesses is its inferiority complex. Few locals would ever think such grandiose thoughts. Its hard to get many Sactoites to admit they even are a major city that deserves major city amenities.

Not insulting at all. You're absolutely correct about Sacramento's weakness. I think about Barclay's Center being iconic. People make fun of the rust exterior and what not. But the fact remains, you can not mistake that building for another. I worry that people in Sac may not understand that this building can not blend in if it is to be great.

Finally clicked the link.....everyone should take a peek. Not only has he brought belief in the potential of the team to get back to those glory years but it feels as though these investors see the potential in the city / arena / downtown and they will deliver on all areas.
