Davion is a lot more comfortable playing SG. He looks a lot better as a secondary ball handler playing off of Fox. Fox is so good at navigating those double teams and Mitchell looks great spotting up.
It's a tired comparison but the Donovan Mitchell comps are not bad. Can handle the ball but much better with a primary ball handler next to him.

After doing a little work after we drafted him, I thought this was the clear case as he develops his playmaking. Take the best guard, provide secondary ball-handling/playmaking off 2 really good lead playmakers in Fox/Hali. Really is a glove fit, especially if the shooting keeps looking this good.

He just doesn't look like he has a weakness outside of being a bit limited as a creator for others right now. His scoring creation/shooting/defense looks to be top notch

He's solid all around. The only thing that hinders him long term as far as potential is you're seeing when teams take away his hesi move it's hard for him to get past pressure. Good call to have him playing off the ball and prepped to shoot. If they let him play off of the Kings go to guy he'll get easy shots all night.

Davion has looked like the best player on both sides of the court and De'Aaron's playing tonight.
He's playing a great role players game so far. On defense he's struggled with screens, but he's playing under now which is helping. Offensively he's getting wide open shots just simply spotting up. He's not forcing anything which is the advantage you get drafting older players I guess.

Barnes having one of his invisible games and Holmes just hasn't looked comfortable all game. Nurk one of his kryptonite match-ups.
Ever since preseason started it looks like Holmes is trying to get those push shot looks from other areas. It's not currently working haha. Yeah, Holmes simply struggles against the big skilled monster types.

? We've seen a ton of TD/Ramsey at the 3 for a good portion of the half.
Not really. Harkless and Barnes are on pace to play 32 minutes. This is a game where they are playing mostly two bigs, you would expect way more attention to getting players like Davis (only 11 minutes in the first half) time. So far this preseason we've mostly seen two bigs and traditional small ball. That is not being the guard team they need to be once the rotation shrinks to a manageable degree. He's even managed to play 4 bigs on a shortened roster.
