Possible 4th Bigs: Khem Birch?

Now that we are in the market for a 4th big with the departures of Thompson and Landry, I want to pick the brains of those who watch more College Basketball than I.

I saw a few months ago former UNLV player Khem Birch made the D-League all defense team after almost making the Heat last year:

He is currently playing on the Nets summer league team, and I would love it if we scooped someone like him up to a 3 year $3M deal. Instead of a retread like Acy or Aldrich. Anyway UNLV fans out there?

Ed Davis, Jordan Hill, Kyle O'Quinn, Koufos, & Aldrich are still available. I would say Hill and O'Quinn are best suited to play both PF & C.

Yeah O Quinn would be great cause he's strong as a bull (and skilled) and we need a another physical good sized/length guy since WCS/Moreland are all thin.

Seem to remember yesterday that O'Quinn has resigned but no backup to that brain tidbit. Have always been enamored with Aldrich who improved much with Knicks last year and could come in the $3-4M range.

Aldrich is a pretty slow moving player tho, if i remember correctly? I was one of many who thought we should have always kept him on a low salary, but i don't know how well he would fit into Karl's offense. I would think Hill, however, would be a nice fit. He's more athletic than Aldrich.
