Players we could get in a trade straight up for Bibby

I was able to put all NBA players and there salaries in a database an these are the names that are within 10% of Bibby's salary.
Note: Some players are retired or on the Kings.
Elton Brand
Joe Johnson
Pau Gasol
Michael Redd
Andrei Kirilenko
Mike Bibby
Lamar Odom
Kenyon Martin
Zach Randolph
Larry Hughes

Lamar Odom can dish out as many (if not more) assists as Bibby is currently doing and he is definitely a better rebounder.

Lamar Odom is basically a point forward similar to what Pippen did for the Bulls. We can find a defensive point guard to take Bibby's place. Of course getting Odom means we have to trade Peja. I am sure that Peja has enough value to get us a decent point guard plus a little more. Anyway, I am just playing virtual GM. In reality, I don't think Phil Jackson would trade Odom for Bibby straight up.

.... what a waste of time. This has nothing to do with reality. If you want a subject like this, then post a list of who WANTS Bibby. So far I can't think of anyone.

^Exactly. Bibby would be amazing with a big man like KG, Duncan, Shaq etc...

And you guys are right. Even though Odem is 6'10'' he still can play the point. That would be amazing and I would do it in a second.......not that I dislike Bibby or anything but I think that the team would be better.

So would I, but I really doubt Utah would.

Doesn't Utah have a future PG already named " Deron Williams "? I doubt they would give up AK-47 unless players like LeBron James or Chris Bosh is Involved.

Defensive issues, shooting slumps and massive contract be damned. Mike goes on the block and we'd have no shortage of offers.

We would die of toxic soft-*** shooter poisoning.

lol....

Losing always breeds irrationality. Except this year, it seems the foolishness has gotten especially ridiculous. I love trade talk as much as the next guy (Peja for Paul Pierce for the win!!), but if we're going to dream, can we at least dream logically and rationally and come up with trade proposals that would help the team? I see the "I'll take PJ Brown for Brad Miller" in one thread, Redd for Bibby in here, and an overall atmosphere of despair-- all within 5 games into the season?? It's hilarious, and it gives me a ton of reason to believe that it's no coincidence that "Chicken Little" (you know, the story about how the little guy gets everyone to believe the sky is falling?) is the top movie in the country, seducing you into its mindset.

I'm just asking you to give it more time (10 games oughta do it) before you run off with that pebble that just fell from the sky.:)

Think the underlying fuel is this -- some significant chunk of us don't think this team has the goods to be anything more than a speedbump even if it gets it together. Nto jsut about a bad start. About some bad decisions made to get to this point. The rough start is just a confirmation. I actually expected them to win 50-53 games, score a lot of points, and be a Mavericksesque laughingstock outside of the Sacramento Valley, and so of course would have been in favor of any and all moves to help us grow up and get some cahones. This start has just added urgency to a desire whihc was already there.

You got that right...at least I would hope so.

I can wholeheartedly agree with that notion. Just off my first-hand impressions at the Detroit game, the Kings were terribly undersized and underpowered past our starting 5. But this is not a team to be blown up, especially this early into the season's life. Rather, it's a team that absolutely needs to be modified, but not to the extent that some are calling for. Aggression and the ability to be fueled by that aggression are qualities that should make up the essence of this team, and we already have some players who convey these qualities (Shareef and Bonzi) and players who should or have the potential mind and body to be (Bibby and Brad). The questions surrounding our team are not to be answered simply, but finding other individuals who represent these qualities is absolutely essential and will ultimately facilitate our path to becoming worthy of the hype going into the season and, more importantly, our path to becoming a team with a legitimate identity and authority in the league. This does not call for the extreme makeover that I see being speculated upon around here.
