Game 2: Suns leading by 20 in the early moments of the third quarter...

This is almost poetry in motion.

Meh its kind of depressing seeing the Lakers getting destroyed, kind of reminds me of how the mighty have fallen....

It used to be us vs the superpowered lakers.... but look at us now... :p

When they showed Kobe on the bench he looked really pissed off. I would be too if I was getting blown out like that but hey he made this for himself. If he would've smoothed things over with Shaq instead of escalating their feud they could still be contending for chips. But he did the selfish thing and tried to show everyone how good he could be if he didn't have Shaq's big body blocking part of the spot light. He thought he was Jordan but now he's been exposed as another great scorer who can't get out of the first round without help.

This isn't about Kobe v. Shaq. It's about the Lakers being totally outplayed by a much better team.

I LOVE watching the Suns play. Mike D'Antoni has done a fantastic job of maximizing the talents of his players. I am truly impressed... and more than a little envious.

107-76 Suns with over 8;30 left in the game. Whooooooooo!!!!

Yeah I love watching them play also. They are fun to watch. That team has great chemistry. Nash gets everybody involved and everybody is happy to be out there and play. He's great at running a team. I would love to see us pick up Iavaroni as our next coach.

Kobe Bryant down and apparently injured. On the replay, it looked like he rolled his right ankle pretty badly.

Oh wait, upon further review it looks as though Kobe, brave little soldier that he is, will stay in the contest, gamely dragging his mangled foot behind him as he single-handedly tries to stave off what appears to be an inevitable torching at the hands of the Suns.

:p

Yes, the Suns are much improved this year. No doubt about that. They certainly get the credit for the victory.

But I still love watching the Lakers implode.

He's out now, guess he decided he couldn't have a 50 point quarter on a sprained ankle.
I was listening to the Rise Guys this morning and I think it was FP who said that Kobe is the best player he's ever seen... when playing one on one.

And they read Kobe's comments after the game that went something like this "I didn't... I did ...I tried ...I wasn't..."

Someone tell him there's no I in team... :D

Who said Lakers were a team? :p
You have a point there. ;)

Speaking of the Lakers and bandwagon fans... oops, were we?

Anyway, today a lady at work came in all decked out in Laker gear. Brave thing to do in Sacto. But I really, really, really wanted to ask her why she chose TODAY to wear it?

Why not after the first two losses?

Maybe she figures she'd better get her money's worth because it won't be long before it goes back in the closet for next year.

I've been wearing my Laker gear all year round. I wore it last week and the week before that....and the week...well, you get the idea. Every team has bandwagon fans...including the Kings.

And when the Lakers are eliminated, (I'm a realist, you know), I'll be wearing it again the next day. :)

(BTW...you should see my office!) :p

I am guessing for atleast two more weeks she can wear that ;)

On the other hand your eye chooses what to see, I am sure there are lots of those fans who wear their teams gear everyday in every kind of sport. We tend to pay attention to teams that we like or really dislike, and in some cases weird colored gears that you just cant miss. One of my neighbours wears a Philly eagles gear all the time and I have gotten used to it, season or offseason, another one wears the atlanta hawks yellow jersey once in a while and I cant stand it. Not because the team sucks, its just that color.

Unfortunately for you LA Lakers are the best selling jerseys in the nba though Kobe's jersey is only the 5th best in the market (Shaq is #1, Chris webber is at #25 and I think its mostly cos of the kings fans and not philly or detroit fans )

They sucked, but at least they didn't grant Phx any of their slide flops. First time I can ever recall them not getting at least one.

Yeah like hoopsfans said it happens to every team. Arco was a mad house a few years ago and now they chant MVP when Kobe is on the line. It happens to all of us.
