You're only looking at half of the story, but, whatever. (actually 1/3 of the story.)
I'm not going there...again.
It's not about the story, hoopsie. The vast majority of Kings fans are extremely happy the Lakers lost. We're shallow that way...

This is probably a thread you'd be better off just not reading because people are going to make the most of the opportunity to dump on your team. Lord knows we haven't had much else to celebrate this year.

Forgive us for being bitter and vindictive, but it's just part of our nature.

Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Avery Johnson, Sean Elliot - They all have that half championship ;)
No they don't. They didn't shorten the playoffs in 1999. And for that matter, the Spurs didn't play any fewer games than anybody else; therefore that championship was legitimate, and deserved.

Of course, I shouldn't be surprised; only lakers fans tend to put an "asterisk" on the '99 Championship.

I agree. I couldn't muster up any hatred for the Mavs or Warriors if my life depended on it. I don't even hate the Kings. I do hate the Suns tho, while you guys love em. Familiarity breeds contempt.

I've never used the asterisk thing, but I do proudly use the "01/02/04 Spurs > 99/03 Lakers" thing. Spurs fans dislike it.

I know you all are happy that the Lakers lost, and I couldn't really care less about that. That's not what I was responding to. We've been dumping on our team all season, having some Kings fan do it too really isn't a big deal.
