Petrie mishandled SVG matter

Has anyone though about the fact that the Kings are going to have to pay the coach. I am very interested to see what the Magic actually paid for Van Gundy. I think at present time while this team is in a state of transition that it would be a mistake to dish out a mega multi year contract on any coach!

Who knows? Maybe Van Gundy is afraid of topography, likes hot weather, intense humidity, Bull Sharks, Alligators, Cotton Mouths, Copperheads, Mosquitos, no-see-ems, and Water Mocassins. Not only that, Larry "The Legend" Bird lives in Naples, Florida.

Grant Napear said he has very good inside sources that say Van Gundy used the Kings to get Orlando to make their move and that he never wanted to coach here in the first place. If that's true then I don't want him no matter how good of a coach he is.

Grant Napear says a lot of things. He has a track record of dumping on people based on stuff that cannot be proven or disproven. I still remember how he dumped the vitriol on Bobby Jackson, pretty much claiming Bobby was faking an injury.

I think Napear is a jerk and I think SVG has a lot more class. Did SVG make it clear that unless Orlando made a bona fide offer shortly he would accept the Kings position? Possibly. And I don't have a problem with that at all. I'm sure Petrie knew SVG had Orlando as number 1 on his list. The idea that Napear has to dog SVG now just shows once again IMHO that Napear will say anything to stir up some controversy.

I think Van Gundy mishandled this Van Gundy matter a lot more than Petrie mishandled it.
