Does anyone have an explanation for what Brown was thinking, bringing in Juan Anderson randomly to guard Banchero. That's one of the oddest late game substitions I've ever seen from a coach with his resume
It's not about who starts, it's about who finishes. It should be relatively obvious that when Duarte takes over the starting role for Huerter and not Monk, it's not because Brown thinks Duarte is better than Monk. It doesn't even mean that Brown thinks Huerter is better than Monk. It means that Brown wants Monk's scoring and playmaking off the bench for the 1stQ/3rdQ rotations. Does Monk not close every contested game? Did Monk not drop 46 minutes tonight?
The ONLY thing Monk can do to move into the starting lineup is get WORSE and get passed on the depth chart by a better scoring guard. I don't understand why people don't see this.
Yeah, but he didn’t staaaaaarrrrtttt. I appreciate where you're coming from and I know better but I couldn't ignore those posts...[Modding]
That's enough. All of you.

...that said, I know what to do. *sigh* only the second person I've ever had to do it to.
Holy crap. The Kings made life 1000x harder on themselves. This should’ve been a walk in the park with all their injuries, but we let them take us to double OT on the back of Paolo and a bunch of role players and guys no one here has ever heard of. This goes down as a bad win in my book, but I take a win over a loss any day of the week.
Paolo is legitimate star. He had some low IQ plays, but he can be future face of the NBA in 5 years if he can learn to consistently knock down the 3 like tonight.
I'm a Barnes guy because he does everything that comes to him reliably. But he passed up two mid range jumpers in the final minutes of the fourth; one to pass to a well defended Fox, and the other to an open Keegan. Make of that what you will but I think that's a shot that should be taken by Barnes.
At the end of the night this goes down as a huge wasted opportunity for the Magic. They couldn't miss and yet still managed to lose.dude this is a bad take imo. They will never, and I mean never shoot like they did tonight. That is why they were in the game. If any team shoots that well with that kind of volume they will almost certainly win. They made 10, 10!!!! more threes than us. A team we mostly agree relies on them too much.
I knew the Kings would win
Debbie downer syndrome? Really?Meh, debbie downer syndrome.
The team was laughable last night. They responded tonight vs a very tough Magic team (even without Franz) and our own star player just being horrible the entire game. Gutty-grit check win without Fox doing anything. How is that anything BUT a great win?
I care we had this sort of response after the worst game of the year last night. That's a sign of a team trying to grow and get better.
It's not about who starts, it's about who finishes.
If starting is the difference between retaining and losing Monk by all means start him. Otherwise the current way we play Monk is one of the things that is 100% working.
They will never shoot like this again because no team in their right mind plays defense quite like the Kings!!! Not a coincidence that every team in the league seems to have great, or even historic shooting nights against us. Defensive game plan needs to be looked atdude this is a bad take imo. Counterpoint: Fox was ass tonight. When he's playing his A-game, he's worth at least four of those guys.
- Franz Wagner out
- Garry Harris out
- Cole Anthony out
- Markelle Fultz out
- Jonathan Isaac out
- Joe Ingles out
I wouldn't have been too upset with this one even if it was a loss. Aside from Fox who has played well for the kings all season this was a great team effort. It's just hard to overcome the great fluke shooting from the magic. They will never shoot like that again this season. It's just one of those magical nights for them. Sometimes you just have to tip your hat to the other team.Debbie downer syndrome? Really?
Let me see how this wasn’t a great win:
- Franz Wagner out
- Garry Harris out
- Cole Anthony out
- Markelle Fultz out
- Jonathan Isaac out
- Joe Ingles out
- Kings barely win by 2pts in double OT. Come on.
Calling me a Debbie downer because I’m critical of bad basketball… yeah ok bud. Maybe I’ve been right to check in less around these fronts with all these weird aggressions even in a win?

The Pacers traded the wrong center

Banchero was scoring at will. I think Mike Brown was just trying to throw different looks at him.
So Anderson over Kessler Edwards, for a defensive stop?
JTA’s a little more mobile and a bit better of a help defender plus he’s a vet so you’re probably a little more fine with bringing him in cold off the bench. So Anderson over Kessler Edwards, for a defensive stop?
He took fox out for defense? No Davion for defense? Brown I feel sometimes out coaches himself. I'll take the grit win tho. Good way to win a game we tried hard to loseSo Anderson over Kessler Edwards, for a defensive stop?
