No the real question is whether Peja from this year shows up or Peja from last year shows up. If Peja from last year shows up then good but if Peja from this year returns we are f'ed.
NJKingsFan said:Ever watched Webber play??? Because it'd be pretty hard to tell by those comments. How can a Power Forward averaging 5 assists a game (he's averaged that for about his whole career) and has had 4 triple doubles this year be a ball hog??? Who was the one they ran the offense through to make all those pretty passes, to set screens for Peja??
BTW; Miller can't jump either and his defense is ALOT worse than Webber's.
given the oppurtunity he can create his own shot.Tough Trade to swallow don't know if it was good myself. But isn't the motto in petrie we trustReinadelosReys said:So now what, we build our team around a guy who can't even create his own shot! My God! You know what, Mike, its all yours now
Stojakovic said:Honestly, if this brings back the Brad Miller that was the second best center in the league without Webber on the floor last year, then this may be a blessing in disguise. If not, well then ... we're f*****.
bigbadred00 said:Question? Is Peja happy in Sacto without Vlade. If the answer is No, then it's an awful trade. If it's yes then so be it.
Gary said:No, the people that need to stop are the people that are calling the players that are KINGS now names, and calling Petrie every name in the book.. Those are the people that are acting like idiots.. I am PISSED at the people that are totally turing against this organization, Petrie, and the "scrubs". I have a right to vent as well don't I? The trade is a two way street, and I am frankly dissapointed at a lot of you people tonight.
Read some of the posts here and see what crap has been spewed.. Talk to them about being civil.

NJKingsFan said:What do you expect to happen when the team's best player and one of if not the most liked player (the one most responsible for the teams' resurrection from the lottery) is traded for three average at best players. I'm sorry, that's a misprint, he wasn't traded for three players, but it's a 3 for 3 swap that includes Barnes and Bradley. Do you expect those who love the Kings to be happy about this??? Who in their right mind would? Yet you have the nerve to be disappointed in us for venting our frustrations?? Get real.
6th said:I'll tell you what happened. Tonight GP made a choice. He chose to dump the player that this winning franchise was built around, in favor of a wuss that cannot do anything offensively unless someone sets a screen for him. And the worst part is that he did not get anything back for him. In Petrie I trust has now become "In Petrie I trust to make stupid decisions if that is what it takes for him to keep his boy"
Gary said:Yes I have watched Webber play.. I am a Kings fan for a looong time. Long time before Webber was here.
Webber takes almost as many shots as points scored, and I feel (you will not convince me otherwise) that we were a better team w/o him playing, last year, and this year.
WE can actually go back as far as 4 seasons (including this one) to see the difference. Although I believe we are a better overall team with Webber, it is hard to knock the numbers that the team puts down when Webb was on the bench.rs1899 said:Look what are record is with and without webber. We dont need him. It wont be that big of difference in my opinion
keflanag said:Yeah, without Webber this year we were such a POWERHOUSE against New Orleans, Charlotte, and Golden State.
Gary said:Venting frustration and calling Petrie every name in the book is different. I was not getting on the people that are venting, I can feel the pain of losing a player that HELPED bring the Kings up from the ashes (OF CORSE VLADE WAS THE OTHER). I am pissed that people are calling KINGS players that were brought in "scrubs". They were just part of the trade and I hope peopel woudl welcome them.
NJKingsFan said:Right now (barring any miracle trades to make up for this tomorrow) Petrie deserves to be called every name in the book for trading our best player and getting bascially nothing in return. He's a big boy, he can handle it, and I'm pretty sure he was expecting alot of backlash for this. And yes, those guys are nothing but scrubs in comparison to Webber.
It's nice you think people will welcome these guys. Let me know what time the parade is for Skinner, Thomas, and Williamson. Hooray, this is it, we'll finally over the hump now!
Gary said:I hope to see you with the signs at the next game calling our new players all sorts of nice names.. I am not saying we should throw a fricking parade, but they had NOTHING to do with WHO They were traded for, and I am sure the last thing they would want is to feel unwelcomed.
[sarcasm]Need some purple glitter for the "scrub" sign? I have some left over from the "Petrie is a ****" sign.[/sarcasm]
exGrizzly said:I agree with a lot of what you say Gary (except the part about Kings fans who can go to hell) but I also think we should have gotten more for Chris. It's a slap in the face to a lot of fans that not only love Webber and what he did for the Kings franchise but also feel we were fleeced.

Gary said:I am sorry for the hell remark, and I shouldn't be name calling myself.
I got irritated at people that were doubting Petrie, and how quickly they can turn on someone they they praise.. I was irritated with that.. I sholdn't name call or say certain things. Anyhow, I understand why people are mad at Petrie. I am as well, but I think name calling is the lowest form of anger outside of violence.
