Yup !

I hated the Jon Barry move (for Mateen frickin Cleaves ?) , and I probably hated the Doug for Cuttino trade more. He should have gotten something better out of these deals, but that all doesn't matter now.
 
I just think it sucks that for whatever reasons, the KINGS will not have even a chance this season. Chris was the Kings MVP so far (along with Brad and Bib). This is just disheartening in my opinion. Oh well, I look forward to baseball season. This season is a waste of time. I'll still support this mediocre team but I have no enthusiam for this year now. We may not even make the playoffs. I guess Shaq had a point when he said we'd go back to expansionville without Chris. We won't be that bad, but right now, we ain't that good.

I was not a King's fan before Webber arrived...I have been a CWebb fan since the Fab Five days. I always watched him in the NBA but never really got attached to his team until I watched him play with the Kings. I have grown quite attached to this team over the years, and it will be hard for me not to still root for them. I was worried that the Kings would do something stupid before the deadline...guess I was right.

Btw, I am going to the Dallas game tomorrow night and I will proudly wear my Webber jersey...go kings...that used to be something to say in caps. Don't know if I can bring myself to say go sixers...

Are we kings fans or player fans? If we are player fans follow the player. If not Be a KINGS fan and root for a team that WE want to win. I know this trade hurts especialy after the comments Webb said last night And I will miss C-webb too But through everything i have seen i will still be a TEAM FAN Thanks C-WEBB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
If scapping the current season for the sake of the future is not a problem for Petrie, why then was dealing Peja and Bobby for Odom out of the question?
 
I too USED TO have complete confidence in Petrie. Now I'm almost speechless, almost at a complete loss. Who would've thought any of those stupid trade Webber to the Knicks or to any other teams for mediocre players had any merit. How could this trade be anymore out of character for Petrie?? He packages the leader,the team's best player, the heart and sould of the team in a three for three swap??!! He basically gets a pile of dogsh!t with a cherry on top in return!


After the way CWebb has recovered and put it all on the line, after the way he's put up 4 triple doubles and had a great season, you'd think it'd be utterly insane for Petrie to consider trading Webber. To top it off he can't get ANYTHING NEAR EQUAL VALUE IN RETURN!!... To echo the sentiments of a few other posters, there better be more to add to this tomorrow. WTF, Petrie, WTF!

I never thought the Kings would take the easy way out, suddenly become French and give up on the season. It's kind of hard to respect them now. If someone is to blame for the struggles of a 34-20 team, why not look at the ultra-passive players-coach in Adelman? The guy who's always quoted as saying we "have to play better offensively" without mentioning hardly anything about playing SOME FORM OF DEFENSE! Instead they extend Adelman, keep a panzi in Peja who can't create his own shot, disappears in the playoffs, and whines about being called out for it and for his friend leaving town. Makes alot of sense; keep the coach, keep the wuss, trade away the heart and soul of the team, your best player.

At least now last night's lackluster game against the Hawks will be remembered for something. Pretty ironic that CWebb was quoted as saying how he'd never want to go anywhere else. He's not a quitter, apparently Petrie and the Maloofs are.

Why do we keep a guy who begged to leave and trade a guy who was dying to stay. I just don't get the NBA any more. My favorite player in the league by far is Webber and you traded him and you didn't even get Daly or anything of value on the sixers like IGGY or KORVER WTF.
 
OMG people **** you all that said that kind of stuff to Petrie. I hope when we are winning like we did when Webber was injured last year you guys will not jump back on his jock.. Everyone here doubting Petrie can go jump off a cliff.
 
Hey Gary, why do we keep a player WHO ASKED TO BE TRADED IN THE OFFSEASON AND TRADE A GUY WHO SAID HE NEVER WANTED TO BE TRADED? PLEASE GIVE ME THE RATIONALE? IS PEJA GOING TO BE HAPPY NOW? STILL NO VLADE IN SACTO.
 
Because the issue is Webber is the same type of player Miller is, and MILLER IS BETTER!!

Webber cant jump, makes 20 mil a year to take 25 shots and score 20 points.. (yes he was one of the worst in this catagory) and he is a ball hog. The team does better w/o Webber, and you guys all freak out when Petrie makes a move..

Gary - You need to back off. People have a right to vent. You don't like Webber, which is fine. You should be ecstatic right now. You do not have the right to make it personal between you and members of this board. Just stop now.

Ever watched Webber play??? Because it'd be pretty hard to tell by those comments. How can a Power Forward averaging 5 assists a game (he's averaged that for about his whole career) and has had 4 triple doubles this year be a ball hog??? Who was the one they ran the offense through to make all those pretty passes, to set screens for Peja??


BTW; Miller can't jump either and his defense is ALOT worse than Webber's.
 
I like Miller, but how many triple doubles does he have in his career? how many times has he gotten schooled in the post in the past month? Agree with the earlier poster...this is Webber for Richmond in reverse.
 
No, the people that need to stop are the people that are calling the players that are KINGS now names, and calling Petrie every name in the book.. Those are the people that are acting like idiots.. I am PISSED at the people that are totally turing against this organization, Petrie, and the "scrubs". I have a right to vent as well don't I? The trade is a two way street, and I am frankly dissapointed at a lot of you people tonight.

Read some of the posts here and see what crap has been spewed.. Talk to them about being civil.

Honestly, if this brings back the Brad Miller that was the second best center in the league without Webber on the floor last year, then this may be a blessing in disguise. If not, well then ... we're f*****.
