Only way to get rid of the Maloofs

apparently the only way to get rid of these bums is for them to not be able to make payroll. i wonder if the entire fanbase boycotted going to games if that would make them lose enough money? i say this semi-seriously because I really dont know if something like this could work

Maybe we can put together a petition and present it to Mayor Johnson?

On the contrary. Fill the arena up 100% every game until the rest of the season and organize MALOOFS: PLEASE SELL chants all game long even if they don't show up to the games. Maybe they sell. :p

Surely Maloofs would not show their face if such scorn were visited upon them by Kings fans. Gavin however might secretly put on the Slamson suit to be incognito at games:)

That'd work. We'd get rid of them and, more, we'd get rid of those lousy Kings, players, coaches and team. So there. Second thought, let's not. The Maloofs aren't lousy. I like the KIngs. It wouldn't be near as much fun around here if we had a team like the Spurs. No boycott.

Gavin is the only Maloof for which I have any king of positive feeling. Watching him at games, it is so clear that he loves the team, he loves the game and he loves being with the fans.

The worse kind of enemy is the one that comes disquised as a friend. He's smiling right up until he pushes you off the ledge.

We'll have to agree to disagree once again (something we seem to be doing a lot lately. ;)) I'll be blunt. I don't think Gavin is smart enough to be capable of the kind of guile of which he's been accused. I think I've watched Gavin in person enough times over the years to be pretty confident that my assessment is spot on. But, as I said, we can just agree to disagree.

It will be interesting to see what Grant does the rest of this week, with everybody starting to see what’s really going on. He’s taking positions that are simply indefensible and confirming that he’s simply a team mouth piece. He’s hitched his wagon firmly to the Maloofs, but for at least the next 10 days this is going to get really ugly. It will be interesting to see if he just keeps doubling down, or if he starts to soften or inject some reality into his stance.

Because at some point, the Maloofs are going to go and Peaches might not have his contract renewed by Burkle because he’s simply covered in the Maloof stink that will have to be scrubbed off the franchise. Grant’s conduct over the next week might determine whether that’s a possibility or a necessity.

I want a new arena. If I can get it without Maloof and Peaches, that would be amazing.

I agree, when this story first broke he jumped all over the fact that the maloofs were right in not paying the pre dev costs, then slowly started to back off as time went along. Then yesterday he went off on how dare KJ go around name calling and that the maloofs would not stand for being called disingenuous, then a caller stated piece by piece on exactly what actions were disingenuous and instead of debating him Grant just said thanks for the call and moved on. He typically hangs up on people who are knowledgeable on the situation.

Wow!!! Good enough to get a nomination!!!

Naw, we agree on most things. I've met Gavin several times, last time was a while ago at summer league. He's a very nice person and I have no doubt that he loves the game. But like it or not, he's part of the family, and George is his brother. I seriously doubt that George's actions were a surprise to him, and whether he's in agreement or not, he's guilty by association, just like the nice guy that drives the get away car from a bank robbery. We've heard nothing from Gavin or Joe since this latest incident, and thats indictment enough for me. Whats that saying, "Evil prevails when good men do nothing".

Here's another old saying, "Fool me once, your fault, fool me twice, my fault". This is almost the identical stunt that they pulled with the Q&R. Throw a monkey wrench in at the last moment and blow the whole thing up.

I think most of our differences come in the way of trust issues. Your more leinent than I'am. Doesn't make either approach right or wrong. Simply a personal choice based on past life experiences. Your still on my A list...
