That's probably more productive than grasping at straws with how things "seem." We have an incomplete picture, an incomplete script, and we're publishing these stories in our heads before they've even made it out of the editor. What we know now about the Karl vs. Cuz (or Fegan) camp has been known for a while internally between members of the Kings organization. Give Vlade and Co. a chance to iron things out before submitting your own version of this story's conclusion. Last time I checked, they run this team, not agents or the media.

Here's my thought on the Karl interview, Fibs and Lies. If 1-2month ago Cuz and/or his agent requested a trade, then that doesn't show a commitment to the franchise....and maybe it's justified at this point but if Karl is going to coach the guy, he wants Cuz all in and still not requesting a trade once training camp starts.
Legitimate question to the Cuz camp. Does he still want to be here? This isn't about his commitment prior but going forward. These guys are going to have to make it work as neither one is going anywhere.

This notion that DeMarcus is a coach killer is absurd, especially with regard to Paul Westphal. Westphal was fired because he was a terrible coach. He also had a tift with Spencer Hawes so it's not like it Boogie was the only one.
Obviously Cuz had nothing to do with Malone or Corbin getting axed. People need to wise up.
Funny, too, is the red head on KHTK would have you believe that none of the players Cuz has played with like playing with him yet Isaiah Thomas is openly campaigning for him. Boogie certainly has his issues, as all players do, but I fail to believe it's hard to play with a guy that willingly passes to open teammates as #15 does. We're not talking about Carmello Anthony here. Cuz is actually willing to play the game the way it's supposed to be played and involve his teammates. The only players that don't like him are the ones that won't play defense and get called out for it.

I dont care about that, the point is people on here only believe reports that give them peace of mind or agree with their view and dismiss the ones that dont. Be objective, the truth is usually somewhere in between the two hyperboles, not the one you want to be true. Oh and yeah those arent lies, go back to old IT threads, read through this thread, theres a thread that says "Fire George Karl!", for god sakes you guys are as a rash as Vivek. The weasel leaks something stretching the truth and already you want to fire a hall of fame coach that has been on the job for 4 months!!! Holy Hell you people are crazy.

100% agree, Karl was right to say what he said. That's also why Karl and Melo had a falling out was cause Melo was not committed and would not go public with it even though everyone knew he was on his way to NYK.
Enough ass kissing its time for the truth and Karl wants the truth.

Do we actually know for sure that it is PDA who leaked something, or are people assuming it must be him because he is bitter and left for Denver?
As for fans wanting Karl gone, that isn't surprising. Think about it. The choice is between a star player in Cousins, or backing George Karl to make us the Nuggets Mark II. I think most fans on here would rather keep Cousins and boot Karl out of the door and replace him with someone else.
Coaches are easier to replace than star talent. Granted future HOF coaches don't grow on trees either, but I think fans would still take the player and that's not rash if Karl is trying to force Cousins out of the door.

The issue with that approach is that if it causes us to lose Cousins, and don't get a Kevin Love type deal, then we are going to be hard pressed to compete next year. Though maybe putting his band back to together here could - ie a deal that brings us Lawson, Chandler, and Faried...
The other issue here is whether Karl is a long term appointment, or is here short term to win now. If it is the former, then maybe we can afford to retool around players that fit his style; but if it's the latter, then we probably don't have the time to retool and need him to focus on getting this roster in the best shape possible to win - and the best chance to win includes Cousins.
Don't get me wrong. I want committed players here and if Cousins is waiting for the chance to bolt, then Karl is right to call him out. But I don't think this approach can work. It is known that Cousins has maturity issues, so surely Karl knows that his hard ass approach is not likely to work with that type of character?
For me, this type of approach to Cousins is not likely to work. And while I don't blame Karl for calling him out on his commitment, at the same time,
I wouldn't be surprised if this pushes Cousins further towards the exit door and that isn't a good thing for this team.

DeMarcus Cousins absolutely loves Sacramento. He loves the city, he loves the people, and he loves the fans. With that said, DeMarcus can love the city meanwhile being well aware that his career would benefit tremendously from a change of scenery. DMC quietly through his agents has been campaigning for the Kings FO to move him despite reluctance from Vivek Ranadive, who is trying everything in his power to convice him to WANT to stay. Due to Cousins' contract situation, some may say he has no leverage, but what Ranadive and Vlade Divac are trying so desperately to obtain is an unwavered commitment to this team from DMC. What good is having an All-Star level talent stick around for the remainder of his contract if he does not want to be here? It's insane, and definitely not mutually beneficial for either party.
George Karl is well aware of this turmoil and internal struggle, given his ego, his stance is basically "Hey, look, give us your commitment or I don't want you here." I do agree that Karl is stepping on toes very dangerously while attempting to maintain a certain level of firmness that a coach with his resume should command. This struggle, unfortunately, could ultimately cost Karl his last chance of coaching in this league. Another figure within the organization, Grant Napear, is also well aware of Cousins' secretive command, and if he could tell his audience the truth, he would do it in a heartbeat. For now, Napear has his platform on which he is able to vent his frustrations. He went on a semi-rant where he made it clear that this franchise and its' fans are kissing DMC's behind throughout this process.

It's not just because PDA is pathetic and vindictive human being. He has a job with Denver Nuggets now, who happen to have a few assets, they would like to offload at above sticker price. PDA also knows, that his senile old friend is campaigning in another town to get his hands on those assets. There seems to be a big obstacle in the way though, removing which would allow the deal to come through. Of course, PDA will work sleeplessly on solving the problem.

After a nights sleep, I am now resigned to the fact the Cuz is gone and we will get pennies on the dollar. There is no way the two parties can reconcile. I also think the lakers have the best offer if they offer the #2 and randle.

Same. For one thing, there's money in it. Lots and lots of money. For another, human beings are complicated and tend to go a number of different directions before settling on one for awhile. There's plenty of material to draw from to support most any opinion (all delivered with assurances of the poster's expertise/insight), but I choose to trust in Vlade to do what's best for the organization. He's got the skills, he has the Kingslove, and now he's got the Authority. In Vlade We Trust (until he gives us a reason not to).

yeah phil had 6 rings to wave in front of kobe's face. kobe also had shaq the most dominant big man in the game playing along side him taking major pressure off him. we have rudy commanding double/triple teams to open things up for cuz.

Maybe Karl is helping cuz out by helping him out. If cousins understandably doesn't want to be a part of this circus, once you've tried everything to keep him in the fold, what is there left to do?
Hopefully they hadn't reached that point yet, but cuz's value is at its highest, especially with the public impression that this whole mess is from a poorly run franchise. Much better than when he was labeled an underachieving coach killer.

Nah.... I find the Grier from the movie "Jackie Brown" as my favorite version. I am not even close to her age and don't really like women older than myself, but there was something about her in that role.... oohhhhh boy.
And people are still talking about this crap? ugh... It's lies, and rumors and people here are taking it as fact.. People here are being totally unreasonable. You all are twisting every little piece of info, whether true or false, into your own version of doom and destruction and then taking it as fact.
