Should Omri Casspi be the starting Small Forward on opening night?

Nika, take a look at my profile. I'm Israeli. :)

I served 4 years in the military and went through the 02 Tironut (for the rest of the forum: the simplest bootcamp, the one for non-field soldiers), in which we had some Krav Maga lessons (as I said, nothing extensive, nothing that actually helps in practice). Maybe things were different for him, I really don't know his story in particular.

In any case -- this is becoming really off-topic :)

He's always been a fierce player. That's his edge over other players.
He's full of talent, but his mental strength and toughness are really the things that could take him to the next level.

I think I didn't mean to quote you, but an earlier post... :) ... although, how long after your 02 ended did you forget everything you learned there?

And right, back to topic, I am with everybody else about the toughness and mental strength he brings in. It's quite amazing to see, because I do remember him having the same character back in Israel, but it seems to have multiplied now. He just doesn't give up. And when you think he really is just in the beginning of the word, this immense willingness to work hard and develop will take him places.

This kid impresses me, the way he approaches the game - I wish all players had that look. I love what Coach has to say about his fiery intensity...And I think it will be crazy fun to see Omri and Cisco play together.

Krav Maga rocks! Much like one of my styles Muay Thai, I'm sure the next time Kobe tries to intentionally hurt one if our guys(and get away with it too! i.e: Bibby'snose meets Mr Bryant's elbow)Omri will bring the knees and elbows a flying baby!
