Omri Casspi with the Dubs

Hi yall!

Just thought I should drop that here, for those who remember Omri fondly... :)

He had a GREAT game in GSW tonight, on both ends of the court, as you can see here:

...and here:
https://twitter.com/NBA/status/928496106933284864

It's also great to see how fans are really high on him there, as well
(He was very much liked here too :D)
He's really starring in their game thread

They were actually chanting "MVP" at him tonight , which Omri found to be funny:

(Casspi spoke in the post-game presser. It was Curry and him. Respect)

Tonight - Casspi plays his buddie DMC

for the 1st time since their time together here)

And he (Omrii) even has a pretty good chance to be a starter on GSW tonight, for the 3rd time, as KD will still be sidelined.

'Thanks for giving us your all the whole time you were here, but we're kicking you to the curb in favor of Shaun Livingston.' Reason #5968 why I hate, detest and abhor the Golden State Warriors.

Well, Quinn Cook, not Shaun Livingston. But hate the Warriors or not, I don't think that's entirely fair. Casspi is hurt with no hope of returning for the playoffs, and he's not under contract next year. Thus, he's dead weight. Quinn Cook has been playing well for the Warriors, and contributing, and they want him on the playoff roster. In order to do that, they have to cut somebody, because Cook is currently on a Two-Way deal and will have to be converted to a full NBA deal. But the Warriors are full up on contracts and there's only one player on the Warriors who is both unable to play in the playoffs and not under contract next year, and that's Omri. He's not going to play another minute under his current contract anyway, so I don't see any real harm here, outside of "you don't get to sit on the bench during playoff games". Sure, Omri might have liked to have done that, but is it really more important than putting a player on your team that might help you (in some small way) to win a championship?

"...With Stephen Curry expected to miss the first round of the playoffs with a sprained left MCL, the Warriors needed insurance at point guard. The only point guard available other than Cook, who has started in Curry’s absence, is 32-year-old Shaun Livingston..."

? They only have Livingston to sub Curry, that's why they wanted to have another PG on the roster in Cook..

I was merely responding to Capt. Factorial, showing him how my mind deduced the snarky "Livingston over Casspi" comment. Logic didn't enter the equation. ;)
