Kings113 said:Indeed, Bill. Don't know why a bunch of people (in general) is saying they couldn't use another big man. Especially with Ben hurting his thigh today (came back in the game, but still).

Wallace
McDyess
Davis
Darko
Already the deepest frontcourt in the NBA. They have absolutely no need of another guy to take Darko's seat on the bench.
Kings113 said:I think they could use another big as well.
Kev.in said:It depends on what the Pistons were asking for. Some would say they're looking for a lottery pick, which we might end up with. Maybe they'd be looking for another player to add to the rotation. We have some solid and expendable players.
With Darko, it's sort of like the situation Indiana was in with Artest, except that they're playing with their regular squad and might be able to get "something for nothing" whereas the Pacers were lacking one of their stars and needed to move him for a similar talent or else they'd be going nowhere. As far as what the guy is worth, we basically won't know until some offers come in and other teams find out what's being offered. It started heating up with Artest when the Clippers were willing to part with Maggette. So when someone makes a serious offer for Darko, we'll see what he's worth and then really find out what the Kings could offer. Until then it's just relatively uninformed speculation.
KMart23 said:theres a huge gap in the comparison between darko and artest. darko hasn't proven anything! artest is a proven talent... he's just got a few loose nuts in his noggin. artest asked to be traded and was a distraction for the team whereas darko isn't getting any minutes bc they are playing for a championship and have talented players in front of him. i really don't know why some people are so hung up on this guy. he hasn't proven monterey JACK cheese. if we get a really high pick .. i hope we don't move it for darko.
SacTownKid said:Darko is gone. They have no reason to keep him. I will be surprised if he is on the Pistons team next year. My guess on Darko is that he must not be that good. Fact is, if he was, HE WOULD GET SOME PLAYING TIME!!!
Reality is that he will most likely once again be left off the playoff roster this year in favor of Dale Davis. DALE DAVIS!!
Gary said:The same could have been said for Jermaine O'neil in Portland right? For four years that guy wqas not playing and avg less than 5ppg. It wasn't until Indy that he became the player we all knew he could become.
I think a change for Darko would benefit him.

Delonte is a pretty good defensive point who has size. Raef would be a damn good backup at center behind Brad. Actually sort of a poor mans Brad with a better 3 point shot. Perkins is a great rebounder/shot blocker who has a lot of upside.
Kings113 said:I'd do that.
West is a good, versatile young PG.
LoungeLizard said:I woke up in the middle of the night and this came to me. There is a way to trade Jason Hart.
Outgoing: Jason Hart
Incoming: Yolanda Griffith
Hart would be a good fit in the WNBA and Griffith would give us a rebounding/inside presence we need off the bench. Plus, the Maloofs own the Monarchs, so they could make this happen.

"(Tony) Delk, who averaged 11.9 points for the Hawks last season, said he's hoping to receive a trade to a better situation. "I'm waiting," he said. "I've been waiting and, hopefully, I can get somewhere with a chance to win and to play. I don't have any problem with a youth movement. Just don't hold me back."
