this is very werid... portland seattle and atlanta

my only happy thought in this draft is that phoenix doesnt get atlantas pick!

it looks like we will be giving this a try next year too... wow no playoffs for two years ??? looks very possible... Petrie will have to work some magic

I am 1000% jealous of Portland's team.

They are gonna be great a few years down the road.

Yah, Portland just vaulted into the playoffs with Oden.. Probally as well as Seattle with Durant..

UGH..

Lets hope we get a steal of a pick at 10.

im just happy we didnt get lower than we were suppose to go... wouldve been nice go higher though...

was really wishin the celtics could get number 1... just to get them back to their glory days ala bill russel and larry bird... really feeel for the franchise and fans...

Stern hates us. :(

LoL at the Celtics. Portland and Seattle both have issues going on within their communities and they beat the odds to get star players who will revitalize them.

I understand what you are saying, but the team's management has been terrible and they definitley tanked down the stretch. I hate to see that rewarded. I feel bad for Celtics fans, but the Celtics franchise got just what they deserve.

Initial reactions:

1. Does this help Seattle keep the Sonics? Do the Sonics now just let Lewis walk
2. Glad Suns don't get a lottery pick
3. Bad for Kings: Portland and Seattle were two teams I thought would be picking SFs in the late 6-9 range. Now at 10 we won't likely have a big man.
4. Good for Kings? Do we want anything to do with big Zach?
5. Does ATL pick for need (PG, very badly). Could we trade with them if we could get Conley at 10?

The Worst Part...

the worst part of this all is, IF the kings would have lost to the Clippers in the 3rd to the last game, they would of had been tied record wise with portland and had the same number of ping pong balls as portland... and we COULD of been the one with Oden or Durant!!!

If the kings didn't have BAD luck, they would have no luck!!!

yeah i, i thought about that too, i suppose they do deserve this after DELIBERATELY tanking in the season... mabye ryan gomes shouldve kept his mouth shut...

Hey, guys and gals, did you know that if we had lost that game against the Clipps that we could have been sitting at #6, Portland's spot, and we could could have had the #1 pick! Just one more loss is all we needed - and the roll of the dice.

Early favorite

Looking at the early order right now, I have to say the early favorite for our draft pick seems like Mike Conley. I'm not sure a worthwhile big will be there and none of the teams drafting right before us needs a PG. They all need swing men and low post scoring.

That Clipper win hurts all the more now.

Not neccessarily. Atlanta might trade down to get Conley.
