Don't get me wrong. I would LOVE Harpring as our 6th man SF/SG. He would be PERFECT. However, realistically, the chances of us getting him are pretty slim IMHO.captain bill said:I don't think that should even be part of the equation. Kenny is getting paid millions. He will play as he is told to play or ride the bench. But the money he is making could be better spent. Our backups should be a change of pace and energy. KT has the same attitude and style of play as SAR, it's pointless to have a duplicate on the bench. We need tough guys, bangers on the bench. I'll say it again: Matt Harpring. Somehow, if we get this guy, we would be much much better off. Perfect fit for our sixth man- he can score in bunches, play d, rebound, and has toughness and energy. B-Jax reincarnated as a SF.
Squad907 said:Exactly, why have all that talent on the bench if they weren't at least thinking trading one of the SGs? I think if were in a three way with Utah, NY would be our best shot. 3 moves by GP and we could be a real solid squad, and these are quite doable moves:
1) Sign SAR
2) KT to NY, Harpring and Humphries to Sac, and Crawford to UT.
3) Sign-n-trade Songila for E.Thomas
We be get a defensive minded bench and we don't even have to lose any core players.

Bricklayer said:That move was anticipated I think. thing is that we get Rasho for even cheaper in a lot of ways -- straight swap of salaries involving a superflorous player. Would actually clean our roste up a bit. And Kandiman, while I don't like him, is an ending contract, so that could be attractive too.
BibityBobtyBoom said:rasho never did anything in SA, thats why they had nazhir mohammed starting in the playoffs... so why would you want him? I say we give KT to a struggling team that has parts, like toronto for bosh and like one of their 11 players with williams in their last names. Or jazz for boozer or okur and some other guys. whatever.
tyrant said:How bout earl boykins? the guy has an enourmous burst of engergy comming off the bench just like the bobby jackson a few years ago. sure he's short, but he can push the ball and bring a ton of hustle. how can we get him?

Prior to the Wells and SAR pickup, it wouldn't be a problem because the Kings weren't a threat as construed. Now I don't know.
Otherwise, I'm all for it.
