purplehaze summed it up! short ceremony, but a very good one despite the 104 degree heat!! it was good to see spencer hawes and m.shakur present there as well. but here's just a couple pictures. i don't have too many since my friend took all the pics. but here's 3 of kevin martin and one with me and him..just so you guys can see what he was wearing in the hot weather! haha! [now that's something a newly paid person would wear huh!?] what a stud..

btw...i almost got an autographed k-mart jersey and i had it in my hand, but i got hit in the head and someone snatched it from me! who knew kings fans could be so violent!! haha. jk, it's all good though.

Thanks for the pics! Kevin was definitely the best dressed one there. Even Geoff looked kinda sloppy comparatively.
It is really too bad they couldn't of had it at a better time. I'm sure more fans would have gone to show Kevin their support.

Can you imagine wearing that suit in tie in that heat yesterday!!! HOLY..... That little breeze way between Cabana and the IMAX is closed off to. If the breeze is coming from the North or the South it's blocked by the buildings.

The black wrist band is just something that you see a lot of players wear. Some of them with a nike swoosh and some of the jordan ones have sayings on them. I think that Kevins is a Jordan one and it might say something like "I own the ball"...

You sound so cynical sometimes...
It's not just about the money for Kevin. Never has been. The Kings were his favorite team when he was a kid. For him, this is more about achieving a dream and exceeding the expectations of a lot of people who doubted him.
And he wants to do more. Kevin Martin is one of the good ones - he's the type of player the NBA really needs right now to put a role model out there that parents can be glad their children look up to.
He's a good kid. He's got a fantastic future ahead of him and I guess I'm just as happy for him as I am for the Kings.

I absolutely agree. What a GREAT role model Kevin is being from a small town in Ohio, humble, no tats (amazing in this age!), clean living, not a hint of "me and my homie thugs", and all the rest. Reggie Theus said something yesterday at Esquire Grill along the lines of, "In this day and age of too many problems with professional athletes, we need more like him."

yeah, we should all appreciate the fact that we have Kevin on our team. there arent a lot of players like him! so hey, hopefully he will be a King for more than 5 more years!
