If nothing else it's been a good offseason for the Kings in that with the crazy contracts flying around the Thompson and Landry deals are starting to look cheaper and cheaper and more and more moveable.
If we really believe in Evans at the 4, we could probly offload one or both those guys for enders and suddenly turn into a team next offseason that can get assets for cap space which has turned into a pretty god strategy the last few offseasons.
You go into next season with minimal cap committed, resign Rudy and then deal your space for future picks and guys that don't fit on their teams who want to clear space. Although the best season to do that might be the season when they renegotiate the cba and the cap goes up, since it seems like some players are already tailoring their contracts to end that year (see Lebron)
