Thanks for the list. Now we just need a sharp shopping eye, some money and little sex-appeal (or luck will do).

I'm probably crazy for saying this considering how blah he was in Miami and how his knees are made of cadbury eggs but I would like to see us make an attempt at bringing in Greg Oden

We could probably only bring in one FA unless we make a trade(s). If IT goes, Shaun Livingston would make the most sense money-wise. If IT stays, one of these: Emeka Okafor(if healthy), Ed Davis, perhaps Ekpe Udoh or trade for John Henson. We really need a decent PF rim protector who can guard other PF's 'cause Cousins can't.

Oh God, Please No. Dear God, DO NOT BRING GREG ODEN TO SACRAMENTO. Dude's as good as a car from the 50's. Actually, I am pretty sure the 50's car will be a little better. It may actually end up being productive...

I wouldn't mind if it's a one year deal with a TEAM option for a second. I don't think we're in a position to be too picky at this point. I would also bring in Thabeet from OKC and James Jones from MIA. I don't know about his defense but he can hit those threes, doe.

We're rebuilding, therefore we don't need old, rusted weak parts roaming around taking up valuable space on our roster. I think we would be better off bringing in a young talent....

I get that most people like to say he looks old, but you do realize that Oden is only twenty-six, right?

we can always cut him if he's not the top 15 players on our team. I'm just saying it may not hurt to give him a look. Miami took a chance on him; certainly the kings can, too.
Miami was the world champions when they took a chance on him. We....well, I think you know what kinda team we are...

Players I'd be happy to see come:

Josh McRoberts
Avery Bradley
Shaun Livingston
Kirk Hinrich
Toney Douglas
Gustavo Ayon

Or it could be a case of re-signing IT for a reasonable deal. Signing Livingston on a reasonable deal and giving him a starting PG role and have IT come off the bench. Livingston can play with any of the guards on our roster and his ability to guard 1-3 also allows us to at times play 3 guard line ups.

Then complete the rumoured JT (would prefer to keep him) or Landry and expiring (preferably Terry and Outlaw) for Josh Smith and you have the staring 5 sorted. Not great but an improvement. You still have IT and Evans coming off the bench and even D-Will though I would prefer to trade him to address another need (more experienced SG/SF as insurance)

In that case the potential line up for next season is

C: Cousins
PF: Smith
SF: Gay
SG: Stauskas
PG: Livingston

Bench:

IT
JT
McLemore
Evans
Vet SG/SF (needs to be able to play both positions)
McCallum
Acy

The starting 5 should improve the ball movement as Smith, Stauskas and Livingston are good passers and you still have bench coring power with IT, hopefully improved McLemore and some hustle with JT and Evans.

Again, the roster is not great but should be much improved

These are the guys I'd love to have and are not out of the realm of possibilities to actually nab:

Marcin Gortat, 6'11" WSH
Gustavo Ayon 6'10" ATL
Ekpe Udoh 6'10" MIL (restricted)

Power Forwards
Josh McRoberts, 6'9" CHA
Boris Diaw 6'8" SAN
Ed Davis 6'10" MEM (restricted)
Jordan Hill 6'10" LAL

Small Forwards
Gordon Hayward, 6'8" UTH (restricted)
Trevor Ariza, 6'8", WSH
Al-Farouq Aminu 6'9" NOP
Earl Clark 6'10" NYK

Shooting Guards
Avery Bradley, 6'2" ,BOS, (restricted)
Rodney Stuckey 6'5" DET
Thabo Sefalosha 6'7" OKC
Anthony Morrow 6'5" NOP

Point Guards
Kyle Lowry, 6'0" TOR
Eric Bledsoe, 6'1" PHX (restricted)
Isaiah Thomas, 5'9" SAC (restricted)
Shaun Livingston, 6'7" BKN
Ramon Sessions 6'4" MIL
Kirk Hinrich 6'3" CHI
Darren Collison 6'0" LAC
Toney Douglas 6'2" MIA

Kings need a lot of help. But they don't have a lot to spend, so this is more of a realistic FA list:

Backup C: maybe Steimsma
PF: lot of dead weight on the roster, doubt this gets addressed in FA, only trades.
SF: Xavier Henry? Kings need depth here. PJ Tucker?
SG: Really like Meeks here, despite the Kings having two young SG's. IMO, if the Kings are going to improve, one of the two won't get many minutes.
PG: Sessions is a real possibility. Kings can promise a starting job, which could help in recruiting Sessions, Livingston, or Collison. Otherwise, this money will be spent on IT.

Looks pretty weak...Kings will have to make some trades to really improve this offseason.

My bet is the Kings will go after a PG with the full MLE, and then wait out IT and either resign him as a 6th man (they just won't tell him that ;) ) or S&T him.

We have to get in on Ed Davis. Just have too.

How many times can PDA and Co. Mention the need for a shotblocker and then let them all pass by? Davis JUST turned 25. His per36 numbers are still really impressive. Played in a great defensive system in MEM. Never got a chance to show anything there, but he has the credentials to make you think the Kings would be interested.

In his career as a starter he is a 11 point, 8 rebound, 1.2, .540 FG% guy. We don't REALLY know the kind of defender he is, but he has potential on that end.

I have been saying this of Davis since last season he's a good fit for the team and has just enough skill to not eat to much of Cousins and Rudy's space around the basket.

I'd be on board with Davis as well.
From a perspective of not reaching for the moon, it seems as if we could come away with Ed Davis and Livingston, that could represent some fairly attainable stability and defense in the starting line-up that could have fairly good dividends, especially if you bring in Stauskas and have an improved Ben.

Ben Davis is the perfect type of player to go after. Still young with potential, fills a need, and doesn't need the ball to be effective.

Either JT or Landry would have to be moved.
