Hall of Famer
Kings continue to show their versatility in finding ways to lose as they drop another one to the Jazz to drop to promising 5-15 for the season. Kings have lost 7 straight and 10 of their last 11 games. The losing streak is currently only matched by our neighbors across the bridge. Kings have a difficult schedule and only the 2 home games against the Wolves and the Knicks can prevent a losing streak og gigantic proportions.

Piksi's pow(d)er rankings

Well things looking up in the draft pick quest. Kings starting to dominate and if we manage to lose to Knicks and Wolves - we will be where I want us to be before the year is over.

Playoffs anyone ???
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is it too early for one "I told You so" on all charges and specifications ? Been calling Muss Junior - Muss Junior for over a season now. It was too obvious not to see another clueless clown that is incompetent and incapable to deliver. And he has it so easy. All he had to do is to play the kids and to teach basketball. Bu no - he had to try to win and made us a veteran team that sucks to infinity. So only difference between Muss and Muss Junior is the Powerpoint vs. Nice suits. Pretty soon they will have another thing in common. They will be paid very well to do nothing.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Losing is what we need right now. 5-15 is nice but the win in New Orleans still hurts a bit especially since we almost clinched playoffs with it. It looks like we will win between 23-27 games this season which is around the 5th lottery spot. The problem is how we are losing it. We are not rebuilding right now - we are just sucking. That is not acceptable. Out time is wasted and out intelligence is insulted. Now - I agree that we don't have enough "kids" to avoid playing vets but what is happening in the last 10 days or so is unacceptable.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
And it isn't all his fault. Others are responsible too. If the owners had a clear line and the GM would have a garage sale before the season - Muss Junior would have had only "new' toys to play with and his screw ups would be limited only to lack of basketball knowledge. I am not even sure what Maloofs want at this point in time and until they realize it we will be in no man's land watching other teams gong trough the "cycles" while being stuck.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I missed the 3 games before the Jazz game but judging by the comments around here - things turned from pathetic to ugly. Looks like torches are lit up and pitch forks are sharpened and the crowd is close to storm the castle.Means - I am back just in time. And to add insult to injury - we are playing lakers back to back home and away next week. It will be fugly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What happened to Jason Thompson's playing time ? I looked at box scores this morning and I am somewhat aggravated realizing that his PT was cut in half and even more. What happened ? Was he too good and made the Methuselahs look even older ? Was he damaging Mikki's 2pts,2rb ego ? What the hell is going on ? What is wrong ? Is Jason too young, contributes too much or is he just not the perfect small forward that Muss Junior want him to be ? Is anyone going to put a stop to this before things explode ?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
We are almost at full strength. Who gets the minutes ? Udrih, Salmons, Martin,Miller, Hawes and then what ? Bobby, Mikki, Cisco ? Why not Kenny - Kenny would like to play from time to time too. Why not start him altogether. Hawes is young. He can wait 5-6 years before he turns into Troy Murphy. Who is in charge of this circus ? Who has the key to this asylum because someone has left the door wide open ? At this point - geting rid of another clown aka Muss Junior might not be enough because whoever hired him is way more responsible for this never ending misery.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Jazz came without Boozer and Kirilenko being 3-5 on the road but our handicap was larger and we couldn't overcome it. We were able to handle lack of coaching and no bench production (do not count Kevin because he is a starter). We overcame the bad shooting night and rebounding deficit. and everything would have had a happy ending but we had no answer for Douby's clutch shooting at all. That was too much. Jazz improved on the road we dropped to 3-7 at home. There were seasons where we didn't have 7 home losses all year long.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
AWARD TIME

TDM went to Moris Almond. Career high in points, rebounds, FGA and FGM as well as 3pt FGA and FGM as well as steels, blocks and minutes played.

LW-VC went to Okur but it wasn't as bad as we needed it.

JHA - went to QD assisted by Muss Junior's retarded decision

SAR - Metuselah goes to Bobby. Why is he starting ?

Mikki - well goes to Mikki for yet another big NOTHING in 2 minutes of precious playing time.

WTF moment of the game - Is QD really the best thing one can come up with game on the line - twice:rolleyes:.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nuggets are next. 2nd best team in the West, good on the road with 3 games winning streak on the line playing an easy opponent. Only thing we have going for us is 3 days rest. If we lin this one our linning streak will extend to a 10 games which we haven't had in a decade. We have a chance but don't have a coach for it. Everything points towards a "defensive battle" in which the first team to 120 will win unless the other team scores 140. Neither team guards 3pt shooting. we need to have a decent transition defense but since we really don't have any - what is the point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kevin - welcome back and starting
Beno - there is nothing wrong with having more assists than turnovers. Try it !
Brad - played well last night which means we are screwed
Hawes - You are starting now kid which means if You play too well - he will cut Your minutes and give them to Mikki. Think about it.
Salmons - get traded soon ! Ups my bad - I wanted to say - get well soon!

Thompson - if You were lucky someone else would have drafted You
Green - get used to the bench and towel
Bobby - wasn;t a starter in his prime. What the hell changed ?
Mikki - just go away or something
Douby - when You are wide open - it is by design so don't shoot. Almost hurt some peoples with Your projectiles last night.
Brown - where will minutes for him come from ?
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nuggets can hurt us in many ways and they will and we won't stop them but they might be tired. TDM will go to Danthey Jones and You know why. LW-VC will hopefully go to J.R. Smith because if it doesn't we will most certainly lose. This is our last chance to stop the streak before it reaches 10. I don't see how we will do it.

On a positive note

Dear God:

Please let there be a David Robinson or Tim Duncan in this year's draft. We have been through many years of suffering and it is our turn to get lucky and turn around our franchise quickly.

kthx

You keep praying, and I'll keep looking. And after I've looked, I'll start praying!

Seems to be a weak draft class, but the NCAA season is still early. Just our luck to get a top 3 in a bad draft right?

I think I'm on Bricklayers' "Thabeet Gambit" bandwagon.

Reggie, for whatever reason loves Mikki. I don’t know what it is. Someone please explain...BTW: Piksi, who's that sad looking guy that you posted?

And for those of you who want a laugh or to cry, read this http://www.sacbee.com/kings/story/1444500.html
I love it that Voison says GP pushed for the hiring of Musselman. Hello.... GP pushed Musselman, because he was the Maloofs second choice after Whisnant. Musselman seemed like a good choice, if Whisnant was the other option.

In some ways this is really the best news on the Whisenhant fron that we could have -- because it exposes what I have long suspected -- Voison as a WNBA/Whisenhant partisan trying to use her bully pulpit to get him hired. Remember she was the one who "reported" a few weeks ago that Whisenhant would be a top option if Reggie were fired. So it raises the possiblity/hope, that it is just one deluded columnist's crusade we are facing here rather than more owner incompetence.

As for Whisenhant as an assistant -- yeah right. Reggie's got enough problems wihtout inviting the serpent into his locker room. Keep your enemies close only applies when they haven't been angling for the job you hold for years with a direct line to your bosses, and putting Whiz in position to undermine you from wihtin and claim that he now has NBA coaching experience would be unwise to say the least. It would satisfy Ailene's agenda of course (hence the suggestion). But Reggie would be better off getting a restraining order on that guy than placing him in prime backstab position.

we dropped to 3-7 at home. There were seasons where we didn't have 7 home losses all year long.

Not only that, but it's a streak. Before this last game, we had 6 consecutive losses at home, the most since about '97. Now, with 7 in a row, we're matching the record from the early '90s, back when the NY team still got called the Knickerbockers and Michael Jordan had no rings (We also had a record of 43 consecutive road losses at that same time, but that's another story). If we lose to Denver, we will tie the franchise record for the longest home losing streak ever.

According to Grant and Jerry, the Kings starting lineup will be:

Udrih, Martin, Salmons, HAWES and Miller

Whoooooooot!!!!

King's offense looks discombobulated and lethargic, confused also.

Kings defense looks non existent, looks like a pick up game with old guys.... oh wait...

Wow. Against one of the more atheletic teams in the game, Theus plays Hawes at the 4 with Miller at center. They are getting beat down the court and out played. Hey, how about USING THE ATHLETICISM AND SPEED THAT WE HAVE?

G Brown
G Martin
F Donte
F JT
C Hawes

I guarantee they won't be outrun.
