Landry is a serviceable defender who can actually play man D on a big. This is an automatic improvement.

Well, we cleared up a problem that could have gotten worse and got rid of some more useless salaries. We'll have a high draft pick and the potential cap space to go after whatever we decide we need this summer. And if we get a good, defensive big, hopefully it will be long term.

At least one of the shoes dropped, and we can move on from the Martin Question and not still be wondering in August what's going to happen. Obviously, we didn't accomplish every goal like a defensive big or clearing out Noc, but those things are probably just as doable or not doable this summer.

People really need to stop claiming we cleared $20million in cap space and that this is a big part of the deal. We cleared $7million. Not bad and might allow us to sign a max deal (if we could convince someone to come to Sac), but its different than $20M.
