Without those 15 yards I don't think that game gets tied. After that I was honestly expecting the Colts to get the same on their final drive because on two consecutive plays there were hits after the receivers got out of bounds.

Remember I said I'd root for the Colts over a Vick lead Eagles team??? I honestly really didn't care who won, so I guess technically I lied. I find it interesting that Asante finds it so easy to pick Peyton but just lets them drop when its Eli.

Both throws were ducks. The first one he was getting hit, and double-clutched the throw, and I'm not sure exactly who it was meant for. The second one, 3rd and 10, 18 seconds left, and he's trying to get the ball down field so we can try a field goal. Nothing is working down field all game (5.3 per attempt, sacks adjusted), and he threw a bad pass. Compared to the Super Bowl drop, which was a tight throw down the sideline, it's not even close. He should have caught that one too, but karma wouldn't allow it.

Last week against the Texans, Bernard Pollard (yup) slammed Anthony Gonzalez down two steps out of bounds, and nothing was called. Now Gonzo is out for the year.

I applaud my Bengals for making a comeback. I thought they were over and done with being down 20 points. Almost made a unbelievable comeback but fell just short and Pit's D got a stop at the most crucial time. TO had one hell of a game, I give him all the kudos in the world, it's just unfortunate he is on a lottery team where he can't help a playoff team. Maybe they consider trading him? It will be interesting to see for sure. Overall, very entertaining game and that's all you can ask for both teams, just compete.

A good game between the Ravens & Falcons. It looked like Baltimore would seal the victory with their late 4th quarter TD. The Ravens defense looked terrible down the stretch and gave up 80 yards in 45 seconds, I believe it was. I do however, think that Roddy White pushed off that DB to get seperation for the touchdown, I am glad though that they didn't call it and just let the game play out itself. The Falcons are now 7-2 and look really good, Turner was shut down but their passing game was pretty crisp all game long. Falcons & Giants should be an interesting NFC matchup come playoff time, if they do meet.

First off, what a dominating performance by the Patriots. That record sure doesn't lie, 22-2 after a loss since 03. That's an unbelievable record and goes to show that they never lose back to back games, that's how successful they have been as a franchise the last decade. Steelers O-line looked awful and didn't give much time for Ben to work with, I guess that's what happens when your line is beat up as Pittsburgh's is. Great win by the Pats.

The Jets yet again win in OT for the second straight week. Funny, this is the first time in NFL history this has happened for any team, that's interesting to think about. None the less, good catch and run by Santonio Holmes, bad tackling by Cleveland.

I don't think anybody had the Cowboys beating the Giants like they did today. I guess a new coach was what they needed to light a fire under them. I won't make too much speculation about them just based on one win, but come on New York, way to lay an egg, this should of been a win.

The Broncos put up 49 points on the Chiefs, how random is Denver? Nuff' said.

Speaking of random, the Cardinals have to be one of the most randomest teams in the league, I mean Seattle really beat them up in their own place today. AZ needs a new QB, BADLY! Their scouts should start looking pretty soon here.

Troy Smith with the 49ers hasn't looked too bad in his two starts. He has a pretty nice arm and good mobility, let's see if San Fran can string together a couple of wins to get back in the NFC West picture.

The Titans' performance was disappointing today, to say the least. Randy Moss one catch for 26 yards, way to get him the ball. I also do not understand why Vince Young did not start from the get go. Miami has now lost its first and second string QB's for the season, enter Tyler Thigpen. Good luck Tyler.

The Bills finally got their first win, good for them. I am surprised that the Lions only put up 12 points though.

What an unfortunate way to lose at the last play, a hail mary, DB tips it to a Jaguar and that is the ball game. Boy, Houston is just not in sync what so ever since getting of to a promising start. They are slowly spiriling down the drain, they need to get their act together.

The Vikings might want to soon start thinking of putting in Tavaris Jackson. Brett has 21 TO's up to this point, that's unheard of! Youth is the way to go Minnesota, I don't think they will do that though to Brett. I feel they will let him play it out since this should be his "last season". Fire Childress and start off fresh next year with a nice young QB in Jackson.

As long as Childress is coaching, Favre is gonna be the QB. Like Dungy said after the game last night, Childress might not be around next season so he's trying to save his own job, and Favre gives him the best chance to win right now.

And I'm actually not too worried about the Dolphins. Thigpen started some games with Kansas City a couple of seasons ago. He's not a star by any means, but I think he can handle his own. And it doesn't hurt that he's only replacing Chad Henne. Maybe Thigpen will actually throw to Brandon Marshall.

So I rewatched the Pats game after I got back from bowling last night. Lots of Pats fans did not like the refs, I guess I am used to the Steelers getting all the calls since that SB vs. the Seahawks a few years back and shrugged most of them off, only that bogus PI had the potential to be a real game changer and it did not. But one thing really threw me for a loop - since when has contact with a player calling for a fair catch been an optional penalty? The Steelers player practically clotheslined Edelman and no flag. The announcers even said it was a good no-call.

Also worth noting that thanks to a seemingly random challenge on Hines Ward's only catch of the night, his 180+ games with a catch streak was snapped. That was one hell of a run.

What an onslaught by the Eagles, Vick was just flawless. Eagles vs Giants next week should make one very fun game.

Hats off to the Colts who almost came back to beat the Pats (in a fairly ref'd game I might add). Their defense really stepped up, something I just didn't think they'd be capable of after the first half. Of course it made the Manning-face at the end all that much sweeter.

Brady now moves into a tie with Favre for most consecutive wins at homes, the big showdown with the Jets in two weeks would move him into first. Both teams play on Thanksgiving so no special advantage for a half-bye for either club. I look forward to seeing Sanchez get a true test, hopefully the Pats can come up with a 4th quarter defense that isn't a prevent.

I must say, as much as I hate the Patriots, they've really impressed me this season. There's some real heavyweights in the AFC this season, as I think the Patriots, Colts, Steelers, Ravens and Jets all deserve to go to the Superbowl, and probably can. Hopefully my Chargers are pulling their annual slow start/strong finish act and can get into that mix too

I def. have to give props to the Pats. They just keep winning their games, stats don't tell it all. Everybody is talking about the AFC, but don't forget everybody...the Falcons are a team to look out for at 8-2. They are almost unbeatable at their dome in Georgia. Saints are slowly starting to get it together, I'm not looking at their opponents, just the way they've been playing. Though, Drew Brees still has been throwing picks, which is uncharacteristic of him.

The Vikings are all out of sorts and just got destroyed. 3 points? Green Bay isn't looking too bad.

Steelers pounded on the Raiders, a little surprising I must admit. I thought Oakland was starting to slowly get it together and start competing in their games. The Steelers were just too much in this one. What a dirty and unnecessary play by Seymour to Ben.

You have to feel for the Texans. They just can't close out games and they choke at the worst time possible time. How about Santonio Holmes? I'd say that trade with Pit will pay major dividends come playoff time.

To me, it didn't look like Ben said anything to Richard. I think Seymour was just ticked off about getting into it with Kemoautu all game long and he just let his anger get the best of him. Why would you wish him to be out & that the Raiders lose?

Regardless if they get a top 10 pick or top 20, the Pats always make good use of their draft picks. So I doubt you have too much to worry about because there will be talent anyway in the first round that will help out New England.

I, too watched the reply and Ben was running his mouth. I really can't stand him. Although Seymour shouldn't have done that, Ben shouldn't have run his mouth either because the game was already won by the Steelers.

The big thing was that if they ever got a top 5 pick they'd trade down and this year it was looking like there could be a rookie pay scale which would mean he'd probably keep the pick. I thought the trade was genius at the time, now it's ho-hum. Of course if he had smacked Peyton upside the head and cost the Pats the game this week I wouldn't be very amused. But Peyton is a heck of a lot classier than Ben.

eta: Espn just now reporting 25k fine for Seymour, no suspension apparently.

I was actually a little worried about Denver last night, they're opening drive was done to near perfection and only took 3 minutes off the clock with neither big play. Luckily San Diego was able to bounce back. I gotta give credit to Turner for pulling that fake punt on 4th and long, especially with all the special teams issues the team has had. Jackson, Gates and hopefully Mathews return next week to face Indy

In all seriousness, the refs let a lot go on both sides. Sucks that some calls weren't made, but they missed some for us and some for you, so it evened out. Not a major factor, all said.

I think it might have broken the Pats had the Colts pulled that game out. Seriously, two years in a row, 31-14 in the 4th quarter, and you lose? And this one at home? Sucks that it ended the way it did, but oh well. Good game all around. Hope to see you in January.

I don't remember any calls that should have been made that weren't, there are ticky tack things like possible holding flags that go on during almost every play but I prefer when the refs only stick to the blatant stuff and I don't remember anything in that regard. I did hear the Colts announcer screaming for PI a bunch on a radio clip someone passed me this morning, which was pretty hilarious.

I would comment on losing two years in a row if it had happened, but it didn't... so something about my aunt being my uncle applies here.

WTH is with Marv Lewis? Is he just resigned to losing? He was expressionless when TO was denied that touchdown, I understand he can't throw the flag but he just didn't even seem to care. And no challenge on that punt?

WTH is with Carson Palmer! Look at his QB rating, around a dismal 40. He's been that inconsistent mediocre for years now. He started out with a bang his first couple of seasons as a starter and people were saying the dude was going to be an all pro, even HOF QB. The guy is horrible and that's not Marvin Lewis' fault.

I hate TO, and I hate using that word about anyone - except Randy Moss. He shot his big mouth off right before the game basically saying Revis was washed up. What an idiot! All that did was fire up the all-world shut down corner who promptly shut down TO. Even more so it fired up that tremendous Jets D who revere Revis as a dynamic team leader. No one would certainly ever call TO an esteemed team leader - just a TO loud mouth self-promoting wind-bag.

Marvin Lewis knows he is done after this season. He is most likely going to walk anyways and will not get extended. Both teams clearly need to part ways and I believe they will do so, for their own sake.

As for Carson Palmer, he decided not to have that surgery, Tommy John surgery, or whatever it was called...and just rest his elbow naturally. It showed he clearly doesn't have the same accuracy and zip on the ball after that year. He is getting worse by the year it seems. His decision making has gone down the drain, god knows why. He def. needs a new team where they have a better offensive scheme and maybe a change of scenery will do him some good as well as the Bengals.

TO, he is just an idiot. He had no right to say anything about Revis, the team is horrible as it is, he just wanted some attention, clearly. I want TO off that team after this year. I wouldn't mind keeping Chad, he can still produce to some extent. He can maybe teach the ways for our next rookie WR we draft, hopefully in this upcoming draft.
