And, I'd perpetuate the Kumbayah business, but multitasking from a phone is unpleasant. I like it, though; takes me back to my days in the Scouts.
 
If I've learned anything in the time I've been posting here, its that if you want to bash a player than you need to pick a popular target!

Your Kenny Thomas, John Salmons, Jason Hart type players!

For your own sake Sactown, leave our Great White Hype alone! Sure he stinks it up, but he's just a rookie! Why, I bet that in 3 seasons he'll be putting up amazing, MIP type of numbers (this is after we trade him to Philly of course).

I'm honestly not sure I understand you. Do you mean its OK for a poster to bash a player, but its not OK for fans of that player to bash the poster. And if they do, they're sissy's. But the original poster, is OK? Form a personal point of view, I think credibility and sincerity come into play. For instance, I believe that your sincere. You and I don't always agree, but I never doubt your belief in what you say. Ill advised though it may be! :D

But in his case, a person that lives in La La land. A person that supported the Kings moving to La La land. A person who seldom, if ever posts anything positive about the Kings, and who's negative posts are almost always inflamatory, I'm just a little bit suspect of. Now I could be dead wrong. He might live and die with the Kings. (I don't by the way) And he has every right to post his opinions on this fourm. But please spare me his complaints about personal attacks.

You just said that what was wrong with this country was people worrying about hurting other peoples feelings. Well, then why worry about anyone hurting his feelings? He certainly doesn't care who's feelings he hurts. If you throw a bomb, your likely to get hit with the fallout.

I made a post the other day that was critical of JJ Hickson. I didn't get the response that he did. The reason is, that I didn't call Hickson a bum, trash, a slug, or any non basketball related term. I pointed out the flaws in his game, and I did so in a respectful manner. Now it probably wasn't 3 page thread inspiring. But it was, hopefully informative.

So I guess you can pick your poison. Not you personally, but to those in general. And with that final note.. Kumbaya mi amigo, Kumbaya!

its that these personal crap comments that don't include a single basketball related topic is getting old... hate me all you want, your not gonna hurt my feelings on a forum board... Im still gonna say what i want although i won't call you guys names like a child...

Jimmer rookie or not is awful right now... some one make a case that I'm wrong... i didn't say the great white hope was a failure or was gonna suck forever... I'm really not seeing what was so offensive or wrong about the original post... but if you guys see it as being SO SO OFFENSIVE AND STUPID! instead of just talking trash to me say something about what i said and the basketball topic....


also basketball and professional athletes are very tough on themselves as are the media and fans when it comes to the players.... i've heard kobe call his game bad and trash ect when it was...

HOW WOULD JIMMER DESCRIBE HOW HES PLAYING RIGHT NOW?!?!?! is what i said gonna be that much worse that what jimmer himself might say after a horrible game or another fan or the media????

all this crap about trashing a player and him not being able to defend himself is the most sensitive BS i've ever heard....

seriously who here didn't talk trash on Kenny Thomas???? haha... wow the funny thing about that guy is he wasn't a savior like Jimmer is suppose to be... he was just a role player that actually boarded pretty well and compared to some other role players we've had on this team wasn't even the worst one.... but we all obliterated him... who threw up a DONT TRASH TALK PLAYERS THAT CANT DEFEND THEMSELVES COMMENT !!! for that guy!!?!???

anyway i still can't believe anyone could think what i said was that offensive or that i was WAYYYYY over the line in trashing Jimmer... i didn't say his mom was a prostitute and jimmers gay... wow everyone needs to check themselves
 
When was he supposed to be a saviour?? lol come on now.

the main hope was he'd be a dead eye shooter from three and allow us to space the floor a bit.

most of the "experts" were skeptical about him, so coming in i'd say the mood on him was neutral.

damn, i'm gonna have to change this picture.
 
he's like the mormon tebow... but with out the carrying his team to a playoff victory, or even being responsible himself for a single victory.... yet.... but well see... again... read the long post up a few... now knowing the savior part was a joke...

hes not a failure... he's not washed up... but he is awful right now... i hope it changes...

Yeah really.

So not just insulting Jimmer anymore, but had to insult gays and prostitutes as well.:rolleyes:

God I hope Jimmer plays well tonight, if for no other reason than we won't have to deal with this BS for a day or two.

For the posters who want respect, appreciation, etc. I've always found that if you really put extra time into your posts by capitalizing and showing proper grammar, or at least using punctuation properly, people would subconsciously immediately give it more respect. It worked in high school. It worked in real life. I'm sure it'll work on an internet forum as well. Just a suggestion :)

I agree. If you don't take the time use use correct grammar/punctuation, why expect others to take the time to read and respond? This of course doesn't apply to english as a second language folks.

This actually doesn't work on the internet and works less and less in real life. We are in the midst of a breakdown in quality communication due to the idea of quality being under attack or at least being pushed heavily into a gray area. In its place we have binary oppositions and guessing at people's sentiments.

BUT THAT'S A WHOLE OTHER DISCUSSION!

I'll just say that taking the time to write well thought out sentences and paragraphs has gotten me more angry responses than flippant, grammar-less remarks have. At best, good grammar and paragraph formation gets you ignored.

That's why trolls type like this

with a setup somewhere in the middle

for an undercutting conclusion

rather than bigass paragraphs!
