I've always liked the typeface on those jerseys, and they look pretty nice in black. But I wouldn't mind going to those baby blues full time. My favorite Kings jersey ever.

When I played youth soccer my first few years we played in baby blue until there was a revolt at how weenie it looked, so we switched over to maroon. My esteem for that color on sports teams has never recovered. Did not help that every Kings team that wore those unis was both terrible and incredibly soft.

I think it probably has an indirect connection on some level with the Tar Heels and how recognizable their jersey is

Every year I played (like 8 years in a row) we would win 1st or 2nd out of all of Sacramento.People that used to play us would always hate seeing the green and white showing up..
My biggest nemesis was the Blue and white jersey team that had "north" on it. Whoever that team was they were always good.
The red and white team with "south" on theirs weren't so good lol.

Disagree. I have no nostalgia whatsoever for those teams.They look good from a pure aesthetic standpoint. As in I wouldn't be embarrassed to wear one in public, unlike the garish gold lame crud or the bland purple number we're rocking right now. Nuggets, Jazz and I believe Memphis have the baby blue colors right now, so it's not gonna happen for us anyway. But those look fine, and I think the Nuggets have some of the better looking jerseys in the NBA right now. Chargers, Titans and the old Oilers jerseys look great and far from soft, so I guess it'll just have to remain subjective.
If we actually get those black ones like in the video though, I'm all for it. Nice compromise in design with a little Webber-era influence.
