Something tells me his body isn’t going to hold up as well as LBJ’s has.
Even if it did, I mean:

1409 games
53708 minutes
20 years in the league

How could anyone realistically maintain dominance over such sheer volume?

And what's crazy is LeBron has this season to finish out and he's talked about playing one season with his son. So... 2 more years? And showing no signs whatsoever of slowing down? If we assume he stays relatively healthy those 2 years (45+ games), I see no reason he wouldn't add like at least 2500 points to this over the rest of the season and 2 more after.

I haven’t watched a lot of Thunder basketball this year but I like a lot of their young pieces. SGA is a star. Giddy is a nice compliment. The two J Williams look nice and Isaiah Joe is a flame thrower. If Chet can be anything, look out.

Love him or hate him, you can't deny his greatness. In my eyes, Michael Jordan will ALWAYS be first on my list. I grew up in that era. He was the reason I watched basketball. I was a Bulls fan back then (Kings were not far behind, though, in 2nd)...
Counterpoint, I also grew up in that era, and Jordan has never been first on my list. I even went to high school about an hour outside of Chicago, during the first Bulls threepeat, and never so much as considered cheering for the Bulls. That said, there's nobody watching basketball in 2023 who is ambivalent on the MJ/LeBron thing, and I'm not particularly interested in participating in the Nth chapter of the debate, so I'm just going to keep it pushing.

I'm up past my bedtime, anyway.

When Karl Malone joined the Lakers, he had 36374 points. A total of 3531 points (and counting) have been scored by players with 36374 points or more in their career - none of those points were scored in any uniform other than a Lakers uniform (LeBron, Kareem, Malone).

Kobe, of course, also finished his career with the Lakers in the #4 scoring slot. Wilt (#7) and Carmelo (#9) also finished their careers with the Lakers.

In fact, the only player who ever scored ANY career point above 20000 as a Laker and subsequently joined another team was Shaq, who had 21914 when he left for Miami. This could change by the end of this week if Westbrook is traded.

To each their own. My comments weren't intended to spark a debate to begin with, so I'm not going to force anyone to "participate in the Nth chapter of the debate". I understand, and respect, that not everyone liked Jordan as a player. But I also appreciate those who understand and respect that MJ was, undoubtedly, THE reason I have grown up to love this sport.

As you said, just keep it pushing. Nothing more. Nothing less. :):):)

You were always a Bill Cartwright guy anyway.

Suns vs Hawks tonight. So far so good. Suns will be a bit depleted until Durant gets back.

Bucks vs Lakers. Lebron sitting this one out. Will pretty much be AD riding solo. Bucks should win.

Home stretch is coming, each win or loss is getting big, especially for a team like the Lakers who’ve dug a pretty big hole.
