No one wants to face the Nets once Ben Simmons is available…. And also on days Kyrie is available … and if Durant stays healthy.
Fournier's seems like the only one remotely useful given all the restrictions on using them. Maybe Hernangomez and Schroder. But I would bet at least one of those expires too.this seems excessive

wouldn't you rather have a TPE than 6 3&D players we can audition for 2-3 spots next year? I know I wouldn't.I know someone who would appreciate this
Westbrook's time to shine!‘Lakers are really gonna end Bron’s career plauing for the play-in
I know Presti loves picks but I don't think he loves picks that much
They are playing the long game you see, Westbrook helps them lose and brings up attendance at the same time. Joking aside, I think its the best spot for him. He appears to have run his course as a viable top 3 guy on a team and is either going to have to accept being the lead guy on a really bad team or fill the "microwave" scorer off the bench roll. The Lakers can't go into next season with him on the roster.
Which means they have to find a taker for his $47M contract with only a 2027 pick as sweetener. Unless somebody is coming up desperately under the salary floor (and it isn't the Thunder, SGA's extension kicks in next year) who's going to trade for him? It does look like maybe Detroit could send off DeAndre Jordan and bring Westbrook back in and sneak under the cap, but I'm altogether unsure why they would do that. The Lakers outplayed themselves, and I think they're stuck with it.
