Most improved NBA player so far...

I was going over some player stats and the one that caught my eye was Boris Diaw. The only thing I remember about this guy was he was a scrub for the Hawks last year. His stats this year made me think that espn made some serious typos.

11.5 ppg, 7 rpg, 6.1 apg, 1.21 spg, .71 bpg, .496% FG, and .718 FT.

Brand does rock, but I think Diaw is much more of a surprise. He was being considered pretty much a bust, until this year.

The only surprise about brand is the clips are winning. If KMart started the rest of the season he might win this.

elton brand?

04-05 20.0ppg 9.5rpg , 2.09bpg
05-06 25.0ppg 10.6rpg(3.7off), 2.57bpg

he definitely rocks
5 ppg increase is impressive, especially since he is playing with Cassel and Mobley. All his other stats have been pretty much the consistant with his career numbers.

Coming back strong from an off year (barley an off year, the only thing that dip low his usual numbers was his rebounding) doesn't warrant a most imporved award honor (Unless he explodes in all other areas of his game).

He'll probably have a better chance for season MVP.

I'm not sure how you can call someone "improved" when the reason they are putting up numbers is because they are actually playing big minutes  . I think his stats are pretty comparable over a 48 minute span it's just that he's playing about 33 minutes a game instead of about 18.
