Did you all just see that commercial for Gatorade that was a spoof of Monty Python and the Holy Grail?

I didn't even have the sound on and thought it looked awesome! One of my favorite flicks! Have to look for it online (or rewind the DVR, I guess)....

Full version about 10 minutes long.

Nice re-branding of Pepsi and Gatorade.

I don't understand the commercial at all.

Also, those "what's G?" commercials are getting very annoying. Polls have shown that this whole re-branding of Gatorade has actually hurt them. I don't understand why they did it in the first place.

Pepsi, on the other hand, has done exceptionally well in their new branding efforts.

I think they were just trying to represent themselves with an individual logo in the form of a symbol, much like other sports related brands like the Nike and Jordan brands of the world, instead of their original logotype. What they should have done was just go with what they already had in the with recognizable bolt. That symbol had a lot of brand equity associated with it and they just tossed it aside.

Those what's G? Commercials were suppose to be mysterious but having Lil Wayne do the voice overs ruins it, making them kind of humorous to watch. Even though those teaser What's G commercials in don't match this mission G commercials in any way I think they are still pretty entertaining.

Other than not being funny, I like the attempt. BTW, who is Jimmy? the others I eventually recognized as various star athletes, but Jimmy =?

BTW the disembodied Bolt head was the gutsiest part -- rather than Sir Lancelot and his faithful servant we get Sir Bolt and his faithful Ego.
