Kings trade John Salmons, and Shelden Williams (we have to wait until Williams becomes eligible to trade)
Bucks trade Mo Williams
Looks like the Bucks got the steal of the 2nd round last year in Ramon Sessions. I just posted in the other thread about McGee and how we can't really say a school in the WAC is "small" anymore. Jeez.. Then I remember Sessions tearing it up with 24 assists in a single game in like his 5th start or something. And 6 of his 7 starts he had double digit assists.
Sessions in the last 7 games he got to start;
13.1ppg 13.1apg 5.6rpg 3.6topg (about a 3.7 to 1 assist-t/o ratio)
This leaves Mo Williams who might become expendable. Granted it was the end of the year, and everyone was playing their bench this has to sill impress some of the Bucks brass, and if they were looking to make a trade why don't the Kings offer Salmons? (the Bucks need a SF in a major way because Simmons sucks and Mason is not getting any better with age).
Reasons why the Kings do it is who knows if we can re-sign Beno? Plus getting a guy like Williams would lock up the PG spot for years to come. Salmons isn't doing well off the bench, and if Artest stays another year then Salmons will continue to play sub-par BBall.
Bucks do it to get a SF who can create his own shot, and hit it consistently. Also a PF who can maybe get some minutes off the bench, but who knows..
Why the Kings don't do it is the same reason as above... If things mess up do we want to pay a guy 8-9mil/yr for 5 more years? He's not the best defender in the world either...
I can't really think of a reason the Bucks wouldn't do it.. They get to start Sessions, and get rid of a salary as well. Now all they have to do is get rid of Gadzuric, Simmons, and Bell and they will be set.. Those three guys are eating up so much salary, and not contributing at all.
