I hate baseball again.

I’m hopping off the Camilo bandwagon. I thought dude was going to be elite. Not so much anymore. And not just because of this one game.

honestly, I hopped off in 2023 post all star break when he blew 6 of his final 14 save opportunities including a staggering 4 straight blown saves. That’s not even worthy of keeping your job performance, let alone elite. Probably cost Kapler his job lol

granted, I can’t think of anything close to a better closer option on the Giants but he certainly isn’t the overpowering shut down closer I thought he would be during his tail end of 2021 breakout.

Matos still has some work to do…..I think most of it is just swinging at better pitches. Feel like he’s chasing a lot out of the zone.

Ramos has looked rock solid continually.
Schmitt on a heater, can he keep it up? To me he’s laying off the chase pitches so far.
Wisely has still looked fairly solid.
Call me nuts but I think Brooks should get a steady dose of PAs over Wilmer. I think he’s s9lid in pitch recognition and has a good swing. Wilmer looks bad

I’ve been on the “TRADE WILMER!” bandwagon for like three seasons now. Dude’s been such a solid and reliable vet that someone in the hunt would have probably overpaid for him at the deadline. Was last season his last hurrah?

By all accounts, he’s a rock solid guy, the type that teams like to keep around but , yeah, last year was the time to move him during the career year.

i think the team will be fine as they take on lesser teams but the Yankees looked like the real deal this weekend.
I’m hoping they don’t start taking PA’s away from the young guys as Conforto and Slater comes back. Conforto will be a good platoon guy but Slater shouldn’t take time away from Ramos. Same goes for Ahmed……SS should go to Luciano and Schmitt and or Wisely from here on out. Release Ahmed.

The Giants activated Slater and sent down Matos. Lmao this team

I know Matos is struggling again … but Slater is a lost cause. Dude’s awful.

One of the reasons this organization can’t develop anybody worth a damn is because they never let anybody new go into a slump. If you are coming from AAA you better have the consistency Posey and Panda had when they arrived or they’ll always choose some platoon bum like Slater over them.

Guarantee as soon as Ramos hits a slump, he’ll be used as a platoon guy as well ensuring that he doesn’t hit another stride for the rest of the season

I better see Matos back up in a couple of weeks because he corrects his issues. Really, it’s pitch recognition for him. Chases a lot. But I’d rather him iron it out in mlb

Matos needed to get sent down. He's been unplayable since his player of the week award.

Which is fine, kid is still so young. We've seen a glimpse of the upside, I think just needs more high level hitting experience
