Good points Al and VF, My main point is he did not get thrown out of the game, and when things tightend up at the end he did make big plays to help us win(contrary to what others have said). Add that to the fact that he really was getting no calls when he should have. He needs to take it down a notch and stop complaining but I think he will. Even the game last night was an example of that, He lost control but then he shut up and got it together when we needed him.Folsom Al said:I really wonder how the NBA reviews the officiating. We've already been there, done that, got that t-shirt ... I think I can count on one-hand and one finger the number of times they've announced making bad calls in a game. We all hear that they go over tapes and review "the calls" ... we just never hear about it.
Just doesn't seem right (NBA Overall) ... officials are ignoring/not acknowledging obvious fouls because of the personality of a player.
Regardless of the caliber or NAME of the player ... a foul is a foul is a foul !!!
Hang in there Brad ...
Diabeticwonder said:Plain and simple....he has to stop the complaining. The more he does it the worse treatment he will get from officials and other teams will get in his head more and more.

I is ridiculous that in professional sports, a ref's call can be biased. It shouldn't matter at all what a players reaction is that game or any other game. If it is a foul ... call it. If it's not ... don't. A ref should be able to separate his own emotions from the game.

Miller ( D- ) -- How about a "D" for dumb? Was tempted to go with the "F" for flipped out or ****ed up, but after he got done totally losing his cool and playing like an idiot he made some nice plays down the stretch, including a big rebound and conversion off a missed FT with about 3 minutes to go. Missed his first few jumpers and then just flat out refused to shoot therafter. Worse yet, totally and selfishly lost his cool in the third quarter. **censored**ed about every non-call. Quit running down court on defense to instead whine to the refs. Forced up dumb shots, made dumb petulant fouls, and then topped it off by getting a technical right in the middle of a big Clippers run where we were struggling to break their momentum. Enough already Brad. Even while not being dumb tonight was being routinely abused by the Clips big men. Is it just me, or did Brad seem more...manly for us out there last year? Just seems to get outmuscled and outfought in there a lot more than I remembered from last year.
I am a Brad Miller fan, just like I am a fan of every member of this team. But what is up with this guy. One thing I like about Kingsfans.com is that ya'll tell it like it is. I am sick and tired of hearing our commentators make excuses for this behavior. And i hate to say it, but if this was Chris Webber acting like this Grant, G-Man, Jerry, Mike Lamb, etc would be cruicifying Chris. But no not the "B-52 Bomber". "He is just frustrated", "he is emotional". No he is acting like a GD fool, that has gained the reputation around the league and officials as a chronic complainer of calls. Did you see how Elton Brand was laughing at him, after Miller commited the hard foul. Brand knows and so does everybody else that Miller is ripe for the picking.
He has got to check himself. Everybody gets fouled, and everybody complains every now and then. But unlike Vlade Divac, who everybody knows complains but will put a arm around you and love you. Brad looks and acts like he is going to kill somebody. Not only that he lets his anger affect his game in a negative sense. We need Brad Miller to be a rebounding, 15-18 foot jump shooting fool. Not a Get a "T", commit a flagrant foul, always on the bench pouting knucklehead.
VF21 said:As far as Brick's grades, I don't think he's had a chance to watch the game again. Until you do, you tend to think Brad is over-reacting.
Right now Brad is in a very tough spot. He's not getting the calls and he's lost confidence in his jumper. Luckily, he's on team where the coach and his teammates will do what they can to help him get back on track, and not just sit him down and forget about him. We need Brad...
Bricklayer said:I might have to watch it again for any bad calls that led to the buildup, but I can say with certainty that on the particular plays where he flipped out he was NOT fouled, or at least certainly not hard enough to flip out over. Its the NBA, there's always a lot of contact. Brad's simply got to learn to deal -- he's like the old sad sack on the pickup courts who calls foul every time down the court to mask his lack of ability. Its not about whether Brad's fouled or not, its about looking for the refs to bail him out whenever he screws up.
All of which would be an annoying attitude, but I'm sorry, not running back on defense, making dumb fouls in the backcourt just because you're mad, getting Ts...that's just not being a good teammate. That's caring about your own frustration more than your team trying to win the game. Or at least that's certainly what we've always said when Sheed used to do it all the time.
VF21 said:Regardless of why he's done it, though, he's now in a very ugly position. He's not going to get the calls because he's whined so much about not getting the calls. He's gonna have to perform some major feats of control and suck up some massive abuse, IMHO, before the officials will even think of blowing the whistle.
