Kings deal:
Mike Bibby
Kenny Thomas
Heat deal:
Jason Williams
Udonis Haslem
Dorell Wright
Michael Doleac
Rockets deal:
Bobby Sura
Aaron Brooks
Justin Reed
2008 1st rounder(lotto protection)
Sacramento receives:
Jason Williams
Dorell Wright
Aaron Brooks
Michael Doleac
Bobby Sura
2008 1st round pick(lotto protection)
Miami receives:
Mike Bibby
Kenny Thomas
Justin Reed
Houston receives:
Udonis Haslem
Kings start the rebuild in this deal. Brooks was liked by Petrie at draft time.
Kings essentially get Wright/Brooks/2008 1st from Houston for Bibby which isn't much value for a player of Bibby's caliber but getting the expirings for Kenny's deal puts this over the top and makes this a deal Sacramento bites on.
Heat get a HUGE upgrade at PG and become relevant in the East again. Kenny Thomas may be a downgrade from Udonis, but essentially fills the same role that UD did without a significant dropoff. Reed replaces Wright at SF.
Rockets consolidate their 18 contracts to get closer to the league max. They upgrade their PF position and Haslem is an ideal candidate to play in Adelman's system next to Yao.
Kings waive Sura(has a nice buyout) and Michael Doleac.
Kings new roster:
C: Brad Miller, Spencer Hawes, Daryl Watkins*
PF: SAR, Mikki Moore, Justin Williams
SF: Ron Artest, Francisco Garcia, Dorell Wright
SG: Kevin Martin, John Salmons, Quincy Douby
PG: Jason Williams, Aaron Brooks, Mustafa Shakur*
