The real winner here is john wall/wizard fans. Cousins will be a wizard in 3 years while we get porter/picks in return.
Damn Wall/Durrant/Cousins is going to be nastyThe real winner here is john wall/wizard fans. Cousins will be a wizard in 3 years while we get porter/picks in return.
Have to be quite tone deaf to do this less than 48 hours before Peja's retirement ceremony.
Risking having fans booing and yelling at Vivek, with a generally pissed off fanbase, on Peja's night?

This is hard to determine who is behind this, but the factors are there:
1. All the blown lead that we have had this season, we lost at least 5-6 games when we had double digits lead.
2. Brick has mentioned in a thread that we would need to be 37-21 or something like that for the rest of the season if we we have a chance to make the playoff. Obviously, they feel a change must be made in order to keep that chance.
I am surprised by this move just like everybody, but I will wait what they do afterward before I make a judgement.
well according to Amick (obviously not gospel) this was more about Pete's frustrations and less about Vivek.
No, but I think as a coach, part of your job is to manage the game. We can all agree Malone can really teach defense, but his management of the game is just not very good.So missing the playoffs in the west is a fire able offense. Especially when you are ranked 10 in talent level in the west.
I disagree. This has Pete written all over it. Malone was Vivek's guy. I would think he would give him more than 1 1/4 a season to prove himself.
If Vivek felt that strongly he would have told Pete where to go.
Smart thing they tricked Rudy into signing here before this occurred. I actually wonder how Rudy actually feels about this (could it have a negitive impact on him?), Cousins at least over 5 years has been lied to to the point where he might be numb to it he's at least got some serious experience in this regard.not that sacramento is a big nba destination or anything but i wonder how this effects the mindset of any future canidates given the quick trigger of our ownership/front office.
we get off to our best start in a decade with the players really buying in while playing hard and what do the guys in charge do? fire the HC.
