Magloire is one of my hopes for this offseason.....
"Like I told them when I got here, I don't want to move anymore," said Wells after he scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in Friday night's 105-83 series-ending loss to the Spurs
"If I am not here next year it's totally up to them. I want to be here, I want to do everything it takes to be a King for the rest of my career but if they want to go in a different direction I understand."
Figure:
a) there is stilll some minscule hope for Chandler -- not sure what the holdup is on that PJ Brown deal, unless it be that they are seriously in the KG hunt...or a 3rd team is trying to butt in.
b) Otherwise, all the FA centers of note are gone. Think my next target on that list would be Cato, but strictly as a backup of course.
c) So that leaves as entities known/suspected to be available, Magliore, E. Thomas, POSSIBLY Dalembert for the right price, Swift, and Mr. Spank My Monkey While Driving.
That's still a reasonable list given what we are looking for -- flawed, concerns in every case, but we've got a bevy of spare pieces in need of a home and an undiminishd need.
But a poor shotblocker for a player who has a huge wingspan.Magliore is more what we need -- a traditional set of big man skills. Gets on the glass, is rugged and physical in there, Adonal Foyle doesn't run him over like a WNBA center. He's a walking double double. Not a great player, but a physical roleplayer, starting center, borderline All Star in this weak era for centers.

I looked up Hoopshype. And here's the salaray list.
Corliss Wiliamson 6.5 mil, will be expired after this season (06/07).
Vitaly Potapenko 3.3 mil, ditto.
Jason Hart 1.68mil, ditto.
Well. Total salaries for those players, whom we are not using, is ... 11.48 mil !!!And all of those contracts will be expired at the end of the coming season.
Which makes me wonder if for any reason they may want to hold on to some of these expiring contracts so we have cash next year. Not that I want to, but it is an option....
Would you do SAR for Magloire? Bucks would, I would think.

No, sice he will most likely be a one season rental.Would you do SAR for Magloire? Bucks would, I would think.
Answer me this. If our PG, SG, and SF are all non-traditional type players, is it necessarily a good thing that our C be a more traditional C, or one that can better compliment those other oddities?
Magloire sucks.
