Their big issue is their depth chart now though. Having to play PG and Kawhi and Harden all 38+ minutes to beat an exhausted Kings team on the second night of a back-to-back because your only backup forward is PJ Tucker is less than ideal and if any one of those guys goes down, they're kinda screwed until he gets back to full health without anyone else getting hurt.
They need everyone to stay healthy for the playoffs but the sheer effort of staying in the playoff race this season might make that impossible for them.

I'm not seeing the issue. I absolutely hated the decision when it happened and I still do. I wasn't a fan of the approach of the FO to just let the current squad "mature" and settle in when we know that Monk is up for a new contract and that Kevin is streaky af so having another wing that can step in as a legit #3 star is the difference between a deep playoff run and another first round exit. Keegan isn't there yet.
Fox was very good.
Sasha and Monk played good
Everybody else was bad.
Hopefully Keegan gets back but if not I’d like them to start Trey or Sasha and move Huerter back to the 2. Duarte just isn’t getting it done.

It feels like Kings haven been blown out more in the first 17 games than all of last season. That said, they seemingly have more really good convincing wins than they did last season too.
Last season it seemed the Kings could’ve just as easily won many of the games they lost, also could’ve just as easily lost many of the games they won. The separation was always very tight.
This season has been different. When the Kings win they hold good margins and you know they are going to win with a few minutes remaining. Last night being an exception, more like last season.

Sure. In free agency, you should expect to pay 3% of the league salary cap to get 1 Win Share. This year, 3% of the league salary cap is $4.1M. At his $17M salary, Barnes would be at market value if he produced 4.1 Win Shares. He is currently on pace for 5.1 Win Shares, which would be worth $21M. Thus, he is statistically outproducing his contract.
Barnes came into this season as obviously the 5th option on that starting team, and given the presence of Monk, with the expectation of being at best the #6 scorer on the team. He is currently just that in per-game average (#3-#6 are separated by 1.1 points) and #4 in total points, because he doesn't miss games. At .632 he holds the best TS% of any non-post player on the team (yes, he's more efficient - though more selective - than Fox). Among regular rotation players he has the third best FTr (behind Fox/Domas) despite having an extremely low usage rate (only marginally higher than Duarte's usage).
Fox and Domas are our stars. But even then, Barnes is being asked to take a back seat to Murray, and to Huerter, and to Monk and he goes out there every night and plays the fifth wheel, never complains, and despite being an afterthought in the offense still manages to statistically outperform his contract. His biggest sin is not being a flashy player, and being the sixth option on the team which leads to him being dogpiled for "not doing anything". I'm not saying we should declare him our lord and savior but the dude is holding his own and he gets nothing but crap for it.

well you can take that position but that position is the same as a number of other NBA analysts.
We will get another data point against the Pels Monday. If Sabonis has a great game and I’m not commenting it’s because I am at another game and will be watching it on record. Sabonis has played well in some games against Val so it’s certainly possible. Will be interesting to see.
BTW. My commenting is not that I don’t like Sabonis. He might be among the nicest and best people in the NBA. He is largely responsible for the change in Kings culture. But playing that Warriors drop with a big that can execute it appears to be a real issue.
