LBJ's first playoff game.

bozzwell

Starter
29/7/10 so far (4 minutes to go in 4th). Cavs by 13.

I find myself rapidly becoming unapologetic LBJ fanboy. He's 21 for Pete's sake and he is already great (if it walks like a duck...).

Thank you LeBron for making my wait for the Kings game so much more fun then watching Cubbies blow it in STL.

I'll give him credit, he did play very well despite his butterflies but the Wizs did not play well at all. Usually Jamison,Butler and Arenas get most of the points but they couldn't hit a barn in this game. If I remember correctly Arenas did the same thing last year in the first game against Chicago but game 2 he was back on form. I think the next game will be totally different.

well, i still think he is overrated and gets first class treatment from the officials. the latter is more of a problem of poor the referreeing has become. the former is not denying that he is a pretty good player; people talk about projections as if they were talking about the actual reality, that is why i think he is overrated.

yes, a pretty good 31pt 7reb 7ast on 48% shooting player.

That's just sad.

And the kicker of course being that if he were on the Kings he'd still easily be our youngest player.

yeah, the numbers do not really explain my reluctance to accept, or rather submit, his greatness. i don't know; i have not had the chance to see a lot of his games, but in the ones i watched, he was doing his thing without really imposing his will. i have never seen him lead his team to a great comeback or respond to the other team's big run by himself. i am slightly contradicting my take on basketball here.

Lebron only has to polish -or put more effort to be exactly- his defensive tenacity. He's already MJ's good offensively, now it's the D that needs to step up. Ofcourse, being clutch is another story -and he WILL write it down the road, as for 21 yrs old NBA player, he's already sooo good, with more good yrs still ahead him (knock on wood).

I think the Pistons and Spurs will be the last of the great teams before Lebron takes over the league ala MJ. Whatever team he's with, is looking at a dynasty down the road, with LBJ at the helm. Too bad for opposing teams.

I wouldn't put the ring on the platter for him this early bro, atleast until Cavs FO can put a complete and balanced talents around him -and thankfully, he gets a pretty good crews up there, Danny Ferry knows Pop and Bufford recipe for a great team building around a siperstar for sure. ..................Chris Paul is very good, Dwight Howard is a beast, Yao's turning the corner, the future of NBA's quite good in my opinion. Mello ? This guy's good, but need some more growing up before truly realizing his talent.

Defense is something that's learned. Three years into the League, he's a lot better than expected, I think. As he gets older and starts to understand the game more and recognize situations, his defense will get a lot better.

Besides, he's pretty damn good for playing against high schoolers half his size with a fourth of his talent. His defense will come around in the next couple of seasons as he gets more accustomed to not being twice as athletic as anyone else on the floor.

Well, Lebron almost had another triple double yesterday, only with turnovers instead of assists.....ten on the game (ouch). I think this is where he will see that teams will adjust to the way that he plays in the playoffs so t won't be as easy to put the team on his back.

Of course. That's basketball. They adjust. Then he will adjust. Then they will adjust. Then he will adjust some more. And as he continues to dominate, maybe eventually he will be honored with a set of "LeBron rules" that don't actually work, but that will make teams feel like they are at least trying.

bah! along with lebron "adjusting", the refs will adjust as well; it is getting to the point where i do not really feel like watching/listening to/seeing how lebron or kobe will be treated by the refs, or the media. the last cavs-wizards game, the tv crew never ever replayed positions which did not favor lebron or the cavs. even the way the games are being transmitted is being manipulated. where will this end, i might ask, but i know, as long as the nba is bigger than many countries' budgets, this will keep going. if not this year, maybe next year, all things being the same, i will quit following nba altogether.
