I'm in atxrocker's area on a business trip. Got out of work around 7 than hit downtown Austin for dinner and a little night life.

Austin is amazing. Even on a rainy Wednesday night it is fun and full of people.

Indeed, vj. Austin is pretty amazing. I've been here since the age of 7 and still discover very cool things about this city that I love all the time. I hope you enjoy the stay. The cooler weather is a nice break for me.

Cooler weather?!

I left chicago it was 50 degrees. Got here on Tuesday it was 90. The rain cooled it off to 55 right now (at 2 am) which is still warmer than what I came from

hence the nice break part. it's a welcome change from the texas summer heat that is barely starting to cool down. this cool front was a nice surprise when i got off of work at 1230 tonight.

downtown austin is usually a blast, no matter what day of the week you go. i went on a tuesday a couple weeks back and had a great time.

You're welcome, as always, for the PBP. The next full moon isn't until Nov. 5. Maybe it's the change in weather?

It's really quiet in this part of the woods. Almost too quiet. What my great-grandmother used to call "earthquake weather" only I don't recall her ever saying it at night.

It must be the weather change - very odd - we took a very unusually large number of people in for 72 hour holds for mental evaluations... and a lot of arrests for drugs & drink - two even called and ASKED us to arrest them!
