La Lakers @ Sacramento Kings

Hawes is becoming our new Laker killer though. He always seems to have good games against them. I think the best thing that can be done for Greene's development is to ban him from shooting 3's.

I foresee a Bricky (F) or 2 tonight.

Donte...Why are people clamoring to give him minutes. \
Yeesh...

And Bobby Jackson with a very smooth -28 +/-...

Most of those fans are just Kobeboys, truth be told. I bet you if I mentioned the name Sedale Threatt to one of them, I'd get, "Who?"

I saw most of the first half and donte green was doing good. I missed almost all of the 2nd half. What did he do that was so horrible?

You think they wouldn't remember Sedale Threate? Dude, I doubt a majority of them even remember Rick Fox.

But that's how it is.

There has been a solid group of Kings fans for awhile, but during the winning years, a lot of the mass of fans you saw aroudn town had only just recently traded in their bulls jersey for Webber ones. Rooting for a losing team during highschool is bullying worthy for some reason and a lot of kids will just adopt a Cavs or Lakers jersey.

Is there seriously no coach that tells him you don't HAVE TO shoot the first opportunity you get? If he starts to drive more and not just shoot the second the ball touches his hands he could become a lot better.

Well, I was at the game. It was not a good experience. Not because we lost, not because we lost to the Lakers, not because we lost to the Lakers by a lot. It was the d*** Laker fans, a good many of whom I'm sure are bandwagon fans.

It was like I took a wrong turn into the twilight zone and somehow ended up in Staples. I was literally buried in Lakers fans. It was horrible to hear them be louder than Kings fans and to hear our team getting more boos than cheers during introductions. (Of course, there really isn't any rivalry, right?) At least half the crowd and probably more was Laker fans and they were generally way louder than Kings fans. After the game I could hear the Laker fans whooping it up even when I was way out in the parking lot. You would have thought they beat the Celtics or something.

If course, I'm ticked off at Sacramentans right now for such a pathetic showing for the home team. I know I'm old school, but my team is my team through thick and thin.

All right, I got that off my chest.:(

i feel so juiced.i swear one day me and my friends are gonna buy out a whole section when the lakers come.we're gonna beat the crap outta every one of those laker fans....

...which is why I don't go to Arco anymore. After my last Laker/Kings game there, I'll be content to watch it on TV. (I'm not saying it's only Arco....)

Gargy... I remember the days of the "thief". ;)

I swear I've never beat up a Lakers fan, Hoopsie. (Maybe wanted to a couple of times, but that doesn't count, right? ;))

Yeah, I just got done puking...my fiancee and I just got back from the game too...unreal. The difference between being a Laker 'fan' and a Kings fan, a Kings fan is educated and professional, a Laker 'fan'(Hoopsie excluded from this of course, I respect her VERY much) But to them its a trendy fashion statement, and all about the bandwagon, and their little stupid taunts the whole game, 'Lakers...Yeah baby...Go home Queens...Yeah Baby'...UNREAL!!! I really wanted to puke up the ice cream I ate at the game. We were in 119 Row G, and actually sat in front of a couple from LA that were a little 'seasoned' I guess you could say, and knew about their team, and I actually talked to them for most of the game, they were very nice...I respect those kinds of fans, but the rest...just arrogant stupidity, they werent actually cheering, they just liked the sound of their own voices chanting their stupid little catch phrases...if I have to hear one more damn QUEENS comment from an idiotic Laker fan in a bandwagon Kobe jersey or Gasol jersey, I think I literally will be sick! You have NEVER seen Kings fans act like that. Hoopsie, if you're getting all this, care to add your 2 cents on this subject? lol

They make Gasol Jersey's?

Thanks for the compliment. :) I like to think of myself as a 'seasoned' fan and was glad that you found a couple that weren't acting like idiots. There really are a few of us out there. ;)

I, personally, hate when fans call other teams stupid names like "Queens"....(and "Fakers".) Sadly, every team has idiotic fans. You all know about my last game at Arco....went alone, did wear Laker gear but didn't talk to anyone...had beer thrown on me twice.
I went to a game in San Antonio earlier this year with my mom, who's 69, and people were trash talking my mom! There's no need for that. My thought has always been to support your team instead of trashing your opponent. I think it's more fun that way, as you can have a discussion without it turning into a screaming trash-talking mess.
That's my .02.

I had a 7 y/o kid who was a Laker fan giving it to my ear all night. And of course the "honey" girls who screamed of their affection for Kobe. All in all, what I expected.

Sadly, every team has idiotic fans.
True...

 That's terrible!

That's how I feel. I've been a guest watching my team elsewhere. I would never boo the "home" team, just cheer for my team. That's why I'm there, to support my team.

I agree the whole Queens and Fakers crap does get annoying but common its a sporting event. There is supposed to be some passion and some mayhem involved. Its not a play where you sit quietly and watch.

I am an Angels fan and I love going to Dodger Stadium to see the Angels play because Dodger fans are great fans. Sure they heckle me like crazy and I have been in a few face offs but darn it, that is what its all about. Compare that atmosphere with Angel stadium and all the kids and families in the stands and dang it, it blows.

It sucks that (hoops) got crap thrown at her and her mother was heckled but jesus you need to go to a soccer match (an not here in America either) and there is no comparison. Its just awsome.:)

Well said as always Hoopsie!:) I think one funny moment was when we were leaving after the game we ran into one of my fiancee's friend's that was a Laker fan, she was 'poppin' her Kobe jersey like all the rest, then she told me to take off my Miller jersey I had on 'because it was all about the Lakers, yeah baby!'. lol I jokingly said back to her, I paid alot of money for this, and I've spent alot of blood sweat and tears supporting my team for the last 25 years. She looked at me kinda funny then. She also has a little baby girl on the way, I then told her, when the baby comes, buy her a Magic Johnson or Byron Scott throwback jersey and not a trendy Kobe one, because those were truely classy Lakers, and I respect that. She was surprised I said that I think. lol

Oh...I don't sit there quietly, at all. Believe me! I have a lot of passion for my team. Anyone who knows me, knows that! I just don't like to get into it with opposing fans...most of whom are drunk and acting stupid.

I happen to agree about Dodger fans....because I am one. ;) I've been to more Angel games though, because used to live in Orange county.

I don't think I'll be going to any soccer games, in America or anywhere else. I think soccer blows. I also don't want to take my life in my hands at a soccoer game in another country, that's for sure. Again, since I don't drink, being around a bunch of obnoxious drunk people at a game I don't like isn't what I call a fun time. (For the record, I have nothing against drinking, I just don't happen to like the taste.)

Go Dodger Blue! :p

Hoopsie, I have often wondered how we get along. ;) Lakers and Dodgers? Couldn't be worse. Since I am a Kings and Giants fan, I must say...

BEAT LA!!

I've been chanting that at Kings Games, and at Giants games even longer. Oh, hell. I luv ya anyway. :)
