Kt?

is he even on the bench, i havent been trying to spot him, maybe he is gonna go, but sar needs to step up his rebounding
On SARs behalf - it really wasn't his fault with those rebounds. Not a lot of opportunities ... lots of TOs and steals and blocks. I did see him grab 1, but he didn't get credit.

The announcers aren't saying ANYTHING about him not being there. I find that strange.

They've mentioned everything else ... mentioned how the lineup is different tonight, but no mention of KT.

I just have to hope that something is up! Doubt it will be anything of worth, if it's a trade ... in fact, I doubt we'd get a PF. I think Muss has been toying with smaller lineups for this reason... or one can wish.

KT's suffering the aftereffects of a severe wedgie which the other guys gave him at practice so that SAR could start. He should be back for the next game unless they give him another.

Talking about trades:

After watching tonights game, SAR doesn't fit with this team's style.

He stands around a little too much. I think he's used to more traditional sets and plays that are called for him. He's not getting that here and it seems to be in his head.

With Brad Miller on the court, SARs post opportunities are completely diminished because Brad doesn't usually play far enough out to clear the lane and he's always hovering right around the key to clog it up for a play out of the post. I still would rather SAR than Miller, but that isn't going to happen.

We've got to unload the guy. He's got worth, but we'd have to package him with someone to actually get our worth out of the deal. There are a few teams that would benefit from having SAR.

Considering that SAR is about the only guy, since the early Adelman period, who was worth starting & cost us less than $6M a year (rookie contracts excepted), I'm fine with keeping him. At over a million cheaper then Corliss, and almost a million and a half less than KT, I can't really complain about what we're getting.

I'd rather trade KT any day.

So would I, but the guy is wasted on the bench. He's probably the teams most consistant and effective scorer, he's just not getting the touches. His effort on the glass seems ... lazy. He's better than he's putting out, so either he's hurt or he's not giving 100%.

SAR is one of those guys that if he isn't a part of the offense he seems to play in his own world. He doesn't really contribute.

I think you can package him up and get a decent player in return. Heck, Atlanta needs a PF and has plenty of youth that don't compliment each other, but would be a heck of a pickup. It'd be nice to have someone to grow along with Martin.

Hey, out of everyone on the board I am probably as high as you can get on KT...I just love Etan's game.

I think Kenny is definatly the starter on his team, he rebounds, and desptie the conception he hurts our offense, he shot 50% last year...Im on the Thomas bandwagon.

With $24M in contracts expiring next year, I think Atlanta is holding out for KG.

I'm not really sure who we'd trade with Atlanta anyway. Tyronn Lue and Josh Smith would be a close enough salary match, but they'd have to be out of their minds to do it. My money's on Atlanta suffering through 2 months without a real PF, because it's not like they were going to the playoffs anyway. They're Atlanta, how much worse can it get?

KGs actually a free agent in 2 years, not next year.

I'm pretty sure Carmelo signed an extension this summer. Not as sure, but I thought Kaman did also?

EDIT: Yes on Carmelo, Kaman's in negotiations. Bosh also signed an extension this summer.

DENVER, Jul. 12 -- Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony signed a multi-year contract extension, the team announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

EL SEGUNDO – Clippers center Chris Kaman can obtain long-term security, and the Clippers can lock up one of the NBA's top emerging big men if the two sides can reach agreement on a five-year, $50million contract extension.

Coach Mike Dunleavy confirmed Monday that he made the offer to Kaman's agent, Rob Pelinka, with the backing of Clippers' owner Donald T. Sterling and vice president of basketball operations Elgin Baylor.

"Chris is a guy I'd like to see signed," Dunleavy said.

The NBA deadline for players signing an extension before the season is Oct.31. If that date passes without a deal in place, Kaman would become a restricted free agent at the end of the season. The Clippers still would be able to match any offer he signed with another team. Pelinka met last week with Clippers executive vice president Andy Roeser to work out a deal.

Bosh signed an extension, too.

The Raptors signed all-star forward Chris Bosh to a contract extension as expected Friday. The deal, which goes into affect at the beginning of 2007-08 season, is for three years plus a player option for the fourth, and would pay him nearly $65 million US over four years.
