Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls! Before you we have the newest, greatest ever, most monstrous monster of the paint: Jason Thompson!

Can we have a round of applause? An immense showing of gratitude for the young man's incredible display of heart and hustle?

It would be difficult to be happier with the performance. 20/20 and 5 is an awesome line no matter the opponent. I was squashed in my critique attempt in the Kings Vs. Warriors thread, and after some reflection I became satisfied, given that he ran over everyone on that team except Richardson (who can be nasty.) So, I'll just give the devil here some credit.

Also, much praise has been heaped upon our young prodigy, Evans. It seems as though he has been upgraded to Lebron status by at least one coach: Don Nelson, quoted in The Bee as saying that 'Reke could play any position 1 through 4.:rolleyes: It's called "Nellyball" for a reason folks.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Next up: Phoenix. A team in ruin, on the decline, easing in to rebuild mode. They still have Nash and Amare, but they are left with nothing of real substance after their last two offseason explosions. I believe it is a safe bet to say that we have a fair shot at winning. Let's see how Evans and Thompson match up with Nash and Amare (assuming they both play.) This will be intriguing.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not being able to see the games is killing me. Has our defense improved as much as the paper implies? Has Martin altered the yellow hue of his belly? Is this coach someone who demands respect? I want to see the little nooks and crannies in this shamble, I want to see it all come together. I must watch the freakin' game! Damn this economy!!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

So, awards go to:

JHA: No one really, our coach used an acceptable rotation that resulted in everyone who needed minutes getting them.
TDM: Oh, Mikki. If you would have just scored a single basket this could have been yours; but Corey Maggette dropped 28 on us and grabbed 7 boards, so this one goes to Corey.
LW-VC: Andris Beidrins. Dude let me down, big time. I like to watch the guy play, but he sucked. A lot.
RA&1: Couldn't see the game, so I ask the fans: who should win this?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

And now our Kings travel off to Phoenix. Let's keep it up and get another confidence inspiring win, okay fellas?

Tyreke is gonna get schooled in vet trickery by Nash. Not that Nash, who stinks at D anyways, is going to do a thing to slow Reke. Assuming the Suns dont get stuck putting their SF on him.

I'm hoping JT can keep Amare under 25. In some of the Sac bee articles he was coming off cocky after his 20/20/5 game. Not that I really have a problem with that, but he may get humbled tonight since he's going to be matched up with a legit allstar.

Hawes....If Hawes DOESNT have a breakout game against Frye I'm losing all hope for him. It's FRYE.

I'm not sure where you got the cocky part. I just watched the interview with Thompson from Kingsfourm.com and he didn't appear cocky to me. Just curious. He sounds confident, but thats different than cocky.

I thought I would add that there was an interview with Westphal too. He was very tactful when asked about Greene's performance in the last game. Saying that he had a couple of good moments. But added that he also let the opposing player go to his strengths instead of taking that away and making him go to his second or third option. When asked if one needed to know what the other players strengths were in order to do that. Westphal smiled and said, yes, you need to turn off your I-pod during the scouting report.

By the way Gunks, I agree with you on the Hawes matchup. Frye maybe long, but thats about it. If he can't have his way with him, he needs to go back to the drawing board.

You may have gotten me on the confidence vs cockyness thing, I reread some of the JT quotes.

...You know, over the past four seasons I've gotten so used to post game quotes from our players being along the lines of "I'll try to do better next time" or "We didnt come out playing hard, we've got to start doing that."

....That any show of confidence by one of our players is alien and borderline offensive to me :p

It'll be a scoring race. Can JT put up enough points, in the face of Amare's almost complete lack of D, to keep up with Amare's scoring versus JT's intermittent and usually tepid D?

It'll be interesting.

That is too much. I'd also like to know if that scouting report might be in writing, and maybe Greene can spend a few minutes of his valuable time in reading it.

How come KHTK arent covering the game? or is it just me? anyone have a audio feed? What im really asking is, does anyone have a video stream? if they post highlights to games, there must be a feed, lol

Based on the past two games, the Kings have trouble in the second quarter.

Without one of Evans, Martin, and JT out there it seems like our offense cant find a go to guy. Hawes should be that guy right now, but it doesnt sound like were getting him the ball.

Nocioni has been incredibly quiet for a few games now ..
