[Game] Kings vs Nets, 1/5/13 7:30 EST Game Thread

i rewinded it, it was Cousins. he was so pissed at Brooks

Good for him. Our "PGs" if that's what they are, seem allergic to passing. I know they may be good finishers but that's not the point. We'll see what Tyreke does when he returns. BTW, I posted it earlier but didn't the doc he got the 2nd opinion from authorize him to return? Am I getting THAT senile? :)

Seriously, I thought he was going to be playing.

This is a little step backwards on the road to cohesive team play. They're behind so they're resorting to their old tricks of selfishness and tunnel vision instead of good team play. I'm not real happy with Aaron Brooks right now, and agree with whomever it was (MassachusettsKingsFan?) who said earlier that he's not playing team ball and it's setting the tone for everyone else to not play team ball.

Brooks had a 2 or 3 plays where he should have passed it but I think he isn't playing terribly all things considered.

Next week I think they said after the road trip as I don't believe he is with the team.

the original report said that the Doc just said there was nothing wrong with it and to continue with the teams treatment, and said he would rejoin the team but try to play when the Kings play Memphis monday

4th game in 5 days but I still have hopes for the 2nd half. Seriously. The Nets can't keep up this shooting and, no, I don't blame the high percentage totally on our poor defense. Sometimes this happens.

Wallace's three and Marshons two both at the buzzer were really the only lucky shots. The rest was our pooooor defense.

I think that he'll fit in just fine. Gary's criticism about Evans over-dribbling, and having poor court vision may be fair, and maybe even accurate (the latter point, I do not concede), but nobody can say that he's an unwilling passer.

Part of the selfish ball was a result of our coach/bench giving up a huge lead and allowing the game to get blown open. If Smart brings starters back earlier and the game isn't blown open, the selfishness probably doesn't rear it's head to the point it did.

Cuz was unselfish through half despite all that though. Should have had him in earlier to play through him. I've been disappointed with how few mins he keeps playing, even during his recent hot streak.

i just caught up on the game...what an absurd string of absolutely ridiculous shots going in for the nets. that can't last. or. it couldn't last if we were any team but the kings.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see it tonight. I don't like the body language or effort level. It's going to take some hot shooting of our own to get back into this one, and I don't think we'll get hot shooting if we don't start moving the ball.

Here is what a Brooklyn fan on another forum I am browsing has to say abou tour team..

"I feel bad for you guys, some decent pieces but the fit isn't there and you're stuck with one of the dumbest coaches in the league, which is ironic given that his last name is Smart "

He would fit right in over here :p

I am looking forward to it as I think he can take Cisco's spot without a hiccup. The dribbling complaint is old news as I don't recall him doing that this year unless he had the ball in his hands at the end of a quarter or a similar one on one situation where he SHOULD dribble, dribble.

When you have a team that is just beginning to trust each other and pass the ball, those 2 or 3 plays are HUGE. I'm very glad DFC called him on it.

Indeed. I am also glad that Cousins was there to get his miss and dunk it after yelling at him. Kind of a double whammy to send the point home.

The TV is about to be turned off! Give me something to work with Kings!
