I'm glad the Kings were able to come back and win the game!! BIG SHOTS by WEBB!! He was the man tonight again!! :)

GOO KINGS!! Let's keep this up!!

Not much spinning to be done... we escape with a victory that would not have been nearly so difficult had the team not taken a nap on the boards for most of the game and especially during the 3rd quarter. :)

Win's a win though.

Yeah, ain't it just terrible to win a hard fought game?
The game was hard fought because WE made it that way by not playing D and not rebounding. Just look at numbers. There better teams than MEM out there

I don't really concur with your negative opinion, but I will say that it's very disappointing to see us continue to get punked on the boards. We're not going to go deep in the playoffs if we can't get our **** together, rebounding-wise.
Do You believe that the players that we have at the moment can defend/rebound better ?

Agree with Slim. We've been doing a pretty good job of forcing teams into taking bad first shots. The problems begin when guys are standing around afterwards instead of immediately finding someone on the opposing team to put a body on. That's all it takes--no jumping, just put a body on someone and block them out!

Don't get me wrong--I'm happy we won, just frustrated because so many of the o-boards we give up could be prevented by simple fundamental basketball... sigh. :)

Great seeing Webb clutch tonight though. He was solid all evening long. Monster numbers and the refs didn't even give him much love at the line!

What impressed me about tonights game, correction, the fourth quarter (that's all I saw) was the attitude they carried through the end of the game. They didn't appear flustered or panicky. They looked very confident and dare I say cocky from Bibby's last three on till the end. IMO it appeared that the rest of the starters seemed to feed off of Webber's demeanor and scoring on dunks. The team rallied, and forgive me for the comparison BUT, it was like I've seen the Lakers do many times in the past when the Evil Empire was intact. The Kings showed a HINT of that elusive "Killer Mentality". There were Webber's dunks to emphatically maintain a lead that was hanging within the Grizzlies reach. Webber followed with an assist to Christie who hit an open shot in a pivotal point at the end of the game. The team as a whole played pesky defense against a talented and athletic Grizzlies team in the final minutes. Peja then hit a three that put a foot on the Grizzlies throat but not quite firmly enough due to a defensive lapse that allowed JWill to get a three off that found its way in the basket. Webber went for the juglar again with the 18 footer and nailed it. It was a nice ending. I hope they remember this performance, bottle it and save it for the playoffs.

YES.

Defend/rebound at a championship level? Eh...we'll see.

P.S. Johnny Blaze, I agree. For a game at least, looked like an extremely experienced team that has been through a lot of wars and just knows how/when to win.

alright i missed this game COMPLETLY ( babysitting people with no ESPN GAW I nearly went MAD!!!) luckily i had my cell and kept track of the game there, but it froze at the 5:16 mark, i swear i hit refresh for the next * 2 * hours and it kept on saying 97-93 5:16 4th.

it took me FOREVER to find out that the kings actually won. the internet ont he computer at the place i was at kept freezing on me, and by then i saw some clips on the local news about the big fat fight and i went NUTS over that. MAN OH MAN

great job on the thread guys. MAN out rebounding sounds like it's just NOTHING. that NEEDS fixing NOW.

GREAT game c-webb. i was shocked how peja was doing so poorly ( i kept checking on his stats) becuase posey wasn't there to bother him like he has in the past. who was guarding him??? but what a step up by c-webb. like i've said before, he has been our MVP so far this year.

WTG KINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*runs back to turn on the ESPN replay to watch the mele live :D *

Ha, Definitely. The longer the season, the better! In fact, I hope it's longer than EVERYONE else's! ;)
technically, that is impossible because it ends at the same time for both finalists. Only difference - it will really suck for one of them

Well if you count a season celebration parade topper, then it does last longer for one team. :)
