The 5 man is the way to look at those considering this team hasn't had any standout defense except for stretches this year and mostly when they switched and in watching the games, Metu was a consistent breakdown point there. Also Metu wasn't exactly facing the toughest matchups every night. There was an inexplicable jump depending on the 5 man unit though. I posted the link a few weeks back, 143 in one unit but up to 83 on another. In the middle was another terrible one in the 120's I believe. Average it out and it was terrible team defense. Plus it was clear to see at C he was getting beasted quite often. He had some really nice offensive games when they ran pick and roll though but they aren't running much of that for any C but Sabonis so it didn't do much overall impact wise. Like I said, it might have been moreso both he and Lyles playing at the same time that was the real issue.
Also, why the HELL is the worst passer on the floor making that inbounds??!?!?
Cmon man. We shouldn’t be losing at home to this team that’s on the 2nd night of a back to back. We like to pull that card when we’re on back to back.
And why the hell is Lyle’s inbounding the ball. This has been some pee poor last minute play 2 games in a row
Metu is also second in defensive rebound percentage. That seems to be a problem in recent games. Yes, he is playing against second teams, most of the time, but calling him a poor defender flies in the face of the basic stats.
You can have a thousand attaboys, but it only takes one "Aw ****!"Great inbounds, guys. Way to close out the game.
the amount of panic in here about hanging with one of the hottest teams in the association with two former MVP bringing their A games is really something
