[Game] Kings v. Warriors - Friday, Dec. 14 - 7PT/10ET

Kings just didn’t play smart near the end. Dubs know they escaped with the win tonite.
One they probably didn’t deserve.

I would not be surprised to see them active at the deadline.
They are Getting Cousins back in a couple.
So, that is big. Even, if he’s half the player.
He can just eat up space in the post.

I am a big Cousins fan. He had to go in Sac. But, I can’t wait to see him play again. I am hoping he’s matured and just wants to contribute.

Pulling Fox was beyond stupid, one of the worst moves I've seen Joerger make. How the hell do you pull your best offensive player who was having success at attacking this defense when the game is over if you score 2 more times? I thought it was initially just for that defensive possessions so Fox wouldn't pick up #6. That would have made a ton of sense as Yogi is solid on defense and it would have given Fox a little 30 second spell for him to finish out the game.

Left him in though and just ruined all the momentum we built up to go up 10 at that point. Just a bad, bad mistake that cost us the game. Don't take your best players out of the game until the game is 100% on ice. Against the Warriors, that doesn't really exist.

You know, **** the Warriors and all, but I’m going to be cheering that dude like a madman come playoff time.

Get your ring.

Disappointing outcome, but fun game. The fans were annoyingly quiet for the first half but came alive at the end.

Still, the guy in the section next to me telling fans to sit down when the Kings were making their run... needs to be a better fan.

Man I ain’t hearing that we’re better than moral victories, leave fox in and we win.
Yep, this. For whatever reason, we decided to sit our best offensive player who's next to impossible to stay in front of and is near the top of the NBA at drawing fouls for a minute and a half while the Warriors were surging on the offensive end.

Ordinarily sure, but that's not how this team operates. We didn't make this a game by going at a slow pace. We are a better scoring team when we go quickly. I'd rather score points and not burn much clock than to play out of our style, slowing it down and not even scoring.
The thing is that I don’t think the rest of the team besides Fox got the memo

2-17 to close out the game is never a moral victory. I don’t care who the opponent is.

Warriors broadcasters brought it up. Buddy put the Kings up and then wasn’t featured at all while the Kings were coughing it up.

Taking Fox out sucked the momentum out of the team and it’s what they call “playing not to lose” instead of going for the kill. Dave played that like he knew his guys would cough it up. When Fox left the Kings were running and had the momentum. He came back we’re stuck in half court and the Kings are clearly hoping to survive. It’s no surprise he came back in the game completely out of synch.

-18(-8 offensive) on the boards vs GS is inexcusable. Willie isn’t the best rebounder obviously but he’s the only one rebounding. A little help. GS is a bad rebounding team. I see we may be worse but -18 is just getting outhustled.

Of course the refs were crap. That call on Willie on KD at the end was utter BS

Bogdan had 7 assists and still managed 12 points but was bad. Especially while the Kings were choking. Should’ve looked for his midrange shot more. His threes weren’t even close tonight.

Yogi saving a possession for GS by diving out of bounds for a loose ball clearly nobody on the Kings touched. Granted, it’s not guarantee the refs would’ve got the call right if Yogi left it alone.

Kings played very poorly after the last moral victory vs GS and now add injuries on top of that. This already scary stretch just got scarier.

Yea, and watching Buddy leave Klay completely wide open at the end should honestly get him benched for the next game. Are you effing kidding me

:(

Hope this doesn’t take a lot of our guys going into the next one but this proves we’re much better than Dallas. Period. That Sunday game is ours and no excuses

Some of you guys are mental. You have to try to steal a minute with Fox cause they were calling everything. Know how I know? Our PG had 5 fouls. PGs don’t get 5 fouls in normal games. They usually don’t get more than three. You really think Curry won’t foul him out in the next two possessions? Some of you are new to this. You should be able to run the O through Bogi and get some good looks—didn’t happen. They need to hit this tape hard and learn the difference between an open shot, a good shot, and the right shot when you’re trying to close out a playoff team. This was a good game. Chill out.

It’s a judgement call, I suppose. But they didn’t do either or. They played disjointed using half the clock

If they are using the entire clock and not letting the Warriors in transition the outcome IMO might’ve been different regardless of how much they scored

Every up and coming team has to pay their dues. We will learn from this, coach included, and won’t make the same mistake over and over again. Our bigger issue was decision making, like that dumb 3 that Bogdan took 30 feet out early in the shot clock.

The Kings have not found themselves in a game like that in a long time. We should have won, but we didn’t. We let up at the end and they made us pay for it. As far as losses go, this one sucked but there’s a lot of good to take away from this game.

Disagree. Play your game, don’t play not to lose.
I agree. As others have said, I don't think Joerger made the right call in taking out Fox with 5 fouls. But I do believe Joerger was right when he said the Kings were standing around too much in the last few minutes. As Joerger said, they need to push the pace and move bodies in order to win this kind of game.

It was criticized then.. BY EVERYONE! not after the fact. Taking Fox out of the game was uncomprehensible. I thought he had 5 fouls... I was like why? Does he really have 6 and fouled out? Fox was the only one show guts in the game. That move alone is going to make me feel different about Joerger.
Relax man. It was not criticized by everyone. Sorry if that decision made you feel so bad about coach.

Totally disagree. You don't take Fox out of this game because of 5 fouls with 3+ minutes left. Don't play ref as the coach in this situation. You'll never know whether Fox would have gotten an extra foul, but you DEFINITELY know that Fox is going out of the game when you pull him out of the game.

So instead of us possibly losing Fox for the last 2 minutes, we decided to just do away with the guesswork and take him off the floor for the most crucial minute of the game? How does that possibly make any sense? Guess what, he came in 1:12 later and played the last 2 minutes with 5 fouls.

Again, I think there was absolutely merit to having Yogi play that defensive possession at the 3 minute mark. But you take the timeout right after that possession and get Fox back in the game to close things out.

Coach played prevent defense at the end of the game and it bit us in ass.
