[Game] Kings v. Rockets - 4-8-12

Cuz is already a dominating big man. That's sort of why the Rockets are double and triple teaming him. Favors isn't even in the same breath as him right now. Compare Favors to Derrick Williams or something. Seriously.

This offense looks like the crappy Westphal offense from earlier this year. Swing it around and try to break down your man.

Teams with dominate big men make the playoffs. I can't think of any exceptions to the rule.

I see problems building off the court if our top two players aren't giving a max effort for Smart, and his response is to simply bench them almost the entire half in favor of non defensive chuckers. Don't see it going anywhere positive.

It is strange as in - Strange Smart. Maybe it is subtle tank job which I suspected about time NCAA Final Four rapped up. Dreamin' of Anthony Davis...

Quick Question.

Has Tyreke Evans been playing like this all year? He just looked so passive out there. I realize he has a label as a ballhog but compensating for it like this is devastating.

Seeing as I have Steve Francis on my avatar, I think that serves as a lesson. If you're going to have him, just let him go wild. Tyreke really reminds me of Steve. Terrible for team basketball, but individually can be awesome.

But he looks worthless with the way he's playing now. Just let him loose and live with the consequences. It can't be worse than what you have now.

17 is the answer. They were already down 17. Why should they come back in. their backups were playing better than they were.

17. As in the number of beers I have to have in my system to keep putting up with your crap.

Ah, but you see, we have Isaiah Thomas now so all your points are moot since IT is the greatest player to ever lace them up for the Kings since Oscar Robertson.

Maybe I've been watching too much Grant and Jerry

Cousins has had troubles with back to backs most of the season. He needs to keep working on conditioning. He'll never be great at this though because of how physical he is. He still gives a lot of effort.

Tyreke, otoh, looks checked out. But I don't want to hear excuses for him. He's getting outplayed by a guy who was just cut by the team they're playing. A player from Tyreke's own draft class. His situation, that of being moved around in the lineup, is a product of his own incomplete skillset. Tyreke is not a player that can play multiple positions right now. He is a player that struggles to fully fill a single position and it's his lack of shooting and off the ball play that is why. If he had grown at those skills then he wouldn't be in his situation.

Excuse me, you mean Nate Archibald.

why the hell does smart refuse to play whiteside and dmc together! lets see what they can do. keith smart drives me crazy with his dumb rotations.

So many haters/trolls/whiners lately. I haven't even been opening this game threads for the most part because they end up being a place where people are being completely ridiculous with absurd comments.

I know. Takes the fun out of it. Not that the people doing it care. It must be some badge of honor to disrupt the enjoyment of people who are truly fans of the team.

Actually both were on the court together for some of the game - not much though. Once Kings were in their zone D it was Hassan in the middle and others on the wings.

Reke does have an incomplete skill set, and his jumper is holding him back, but he's also our 2nd best player, is being used incorrectly, is constantly having his role changed and in general being jerked around more than anyone other than maybe Donte. You might not like excuses, but that's the reality.

Reke has to take responsibility for his lack of skilled development, mostly his jumper/inbetween game. And the organization has to take responsibility for massacring his development these past couple years. You can't talk about him being a disappointment without mentioning the situation as a whole as they're directly connected.

No reason at all not to put Reke or Cuz back in.

What did I say that was so absurd? That Reke and DMC were pretty bad and that the players that got the game close should be left on the court? Is that what was so absurd? Considering that many of them were young players that need court time and that they were outplaying the guys that start in front of them I thought it was a pretty good move by the coach. Especially with it being the end of the season and nothing was really on the line.

But IT was playing soooooooooooooooo well.

He hasn't been the team's second best player. He's just not playing well. You can say that is because of position change, but he's been starting at shooting guard since Thornton got hurt and still hasn't done much.

I mean, in ways, Cousins had a far worse situation. He was thrown under the bus by his own coach and had to play without a real PG for most of the season. He's still made way more out of the nightmare than Reke has.

Curious as to why a self admitted annoying Jazz fan who is only here for Jimmer is allowed to troll numerous threads even though a few long time Kings fans have complained.

Shaq was a nightmare match-up the moment he entered the league. Love was all-star level last year and missed the playoffs. Please come back when you know what you're talking about.
