Kings come home having salvaged their road trip with a nice win in Toronto which, according to someone who checked a Raptors board, has the Toronto fans all upset. If our team can just manage to upset other fan bases on an occasional basis, I'll be happy. ;)

New Orleans comes in without Tyreke Evans, without Lance Stephenson and pretty much dependent on some guy named Anthony something. I will be watching Bobby Hield, since I know a number of you were really hoping he'd drop to us in the draft. The Pelicans are 0-6 (before their game against the Warriors tonight). I'd love to see them beat GSW to take some of the pressure of our karma gods.

I'm hoping for a win, but I'm going to be celebrating regardless. What am I celebrating, you ask? The end of the freaking political advertising. We don't allow discussion of politics around here but I think everyone can agree the whole tone of campaigns this year from all sides has been disgusting. I wish there was a way to filter all political ads out of your TV...

Sorry. I digress.

Anyway...

They need to bring back those mayhem commercials.

We could really REALLY use another win here even if this is early on we can't afford to fall behind. This being the western conference and all.

Go Kings!

Well it's New Orleans so I will be blacked out no matter what channel it's on. You know it would suck if I was a Pelicans fan. Got league pass but blacked because I have the fox channel it's on and it's blacked out on that channel as well. Even on NBATV

AD has been BEASTING, but Boogie always brings it when they play each other. Pretty fun friendly rivalry those two have.

As long as we don't play down to their level, we should handle em.

Go Kings! And yay! No more political ads!

Normally, I would say this should be a win (on paper), but because of that, I will say this is a loss. We seem to lose to the teams we should beat and until proven otherwise, I will have to side with history on this one.

There is no Ryan Anderson to torch us, no Tyreke to play his best game of the year, no Holiday and Cousins generally always gets up to play head to head with Davis. I could see those two play to stalemate so we will need Gay, Collison, Afflalo and others to play well.

Yeah, I'm on the fence about this game as well. Really no excuse for losing this one. This will be a test of how much if at all the mental approach of this team has improved. The past couple years they've tended to check out for these "easy" games.

The shaky bench scoring is the only reason I kinda want DC to come off the bench. He could end up playing more minutes overall and being in the game when it matters. Just lets Rudy and Cuz do the scoring and let Collison be the punch we desperately need when those 2 go out.

On the other hand you gotta start your best player and Lawson has been giving us absolutely nothing offensively.

Lawson's assist to turnover is currently 2nd in the league, but I think he will do well backing up Collison who is already familiar with our main core and can score at least. I never followed Lawson much before, just when we played Denver really, but his missed opportunities to score are painful when we are still searching for a consistent 3rd option to go with Rudy and Cousins.

I can almost picture Lawson setting Ben up with great catch and shoot opportunities to help shore up the bench scoring. Ben would need to keep showing it is starting to click however.

Was going to write a week in review post but one of my clients dumped a big translation gig on me at the last minute so I didn't have the time. Plus the less we say about the last week of Kings basketball, the better.

Pelicans this year basically resemble us with Boogie the past 2... If you slow down AD even a little bit, you're going to win the game easily. Even if you don't and he goes off, we'll be in a good spot to win this game.

Pretty important game for us. We're coming off a tough road trip but rested, Pelicans are on the second night of the B-B and we're the better team. This is a spot we should and need to win if we're serious about playoffs.

I'm starting to come around to this way of thinking. McLemore is starting to show signs that he might actually be an NBA player, but being the scoring punch off the bench is a lot to put on his shoulders right now. We're still giving up too much offense when Cousins and/or Gay go to the bench, so bringing Collison in as the sixth man could go a long way towards stabilizing the rotation.

Hopefully Collison comes back ticked off and is that scoring explosion we need.
I love my Kentucky players so I'm hoping that Anthony Davis and Terrence Jones have big games (Archie Goodwin too if he plays, [Pelicans just signed him a few days ago]), and of course DMC, Willie, and Skal [if he plays].
Regardless, I want the Kings to always win. Go Kings!

You just wrote, that people wash oranges with soap and rice in Japan:p

Its really much more profound in Japanese. :p

Hopefully Collison has been keeping up in game shape, would hate for him to return and go 110% and injure his hamstring, I believe he's had hamstring problems in the past

I think I'll yell if I see WCS playing scrub minutes out there

I'm hoping he's going to be benched until he earns what he gets

Keep the rotation to players who can play, it's not like we have any margin for error
