Tonight was probably the first night that I can remember where Demarcus seemed to be the full-blown leader of the team on the court. A very encouraging development even if we didn't pull off the win tonight.

And I never said he should ignore his teammates. Jesus. Do you think DeMarcus Cousins wants to play another year on a 20 win team? Do you think these owners want to see empty seats because the team is going on their 6+ losing season in a row? Do you understand the momentum this city and this team had coming into this year?

I think Thomas is a better player than Vasquez. Straight up. No matter what system you are running, no matter who he is playing with, etc. You can try and convince me otherwise but every statistic you could find from this season suggests you would be wrong.

I don't really understand what you aren't understanding. Thomas will never lead this team to a championship. I am admitting that, that is obvious, but I think he can lead us to more wins. How is that confusing? He can help us get to a certain level, to a certain step - one that I certainly believe is above the 1-5 record we have right now. For the one millionth time. Not championship level, just better.

This game vs MT's start to the season? Maybe but that's a pretty small sample size. Over their careers, not even close. MT put up close to 20/game a couple times.

Vasquez>Thomas for me. Thomas only has more assists a game than Vasquez because his options from the 2/3/4 spots are Thornton, Salmons, and Patterson while IT has Mclemore, and that's already a better option than the starting 2/3/4. Not only that, but Vasquez looks for others on the floor, and you need that from your starting PG.

Um, MT has bee given opportunities and continues to receive them on nightly basis. Jimmer's playmaking ability is light years ahead of MT. Of course MT has shown more, has actually been on the court. A blind man could tell you at this point that Jimmer is flatout better.
 
Again, just speculation but I think it's interesting that Coach elected to sit a guy 6-10 from the floor in a game we were losing. Curious to hear if he addresses that.

Then difference in Jimmer and IT is that IT always wants to be the hero...and the team usually loses when he runs the team. Jimmer was running the offence through Cousins.

Ok. This is getting ridiculous. You realize you're throwing Chris Mullin, PDA, Coach Malone, and the entire coaching staff under the bus don't you?

And it pisses me off, because I actually like Jimmer and he would be so much less distracting to root for if he didn't have fans like you. God DAMN you're self righteous...

If Malone and the Kings are trying to actually WIN games, Jimmer will be starting and logging 30+ minutes a night. The thing is, though, the Kings will be in playoff contention if that happens and they won't get these so called studs in the draft.
 
That last line-up was at least encouraging, even if it was undersized. I thought the Prince's defense was pretty good with Lamarcus only managing to hit an absolutely ridiculous Dirk-esque fade-away shot with Luc's hand right in his face. The General, while of course limited by his athletic shortcomings, still put out a good hustle performance and probably would have had double-digits assists if Patterson, Salmons, and the Factory of Sadness somehow remembered how to shoot. Jimmer showed a lot of heart in his effort in the fourth quarter, although he rather unwisely decided to do his best Tyreke Evans impression and blindly drive into the lane on several occasions rather than utilize his jumper. B-Max is everywhere both on the court and in his game. While he's still obviously raw in spots, the sheer potential he carries is reason for hope at the very least. I'm pretty sure at this point, I've spouted off enough superlatives about Cuz's growth.

Sure it was a loss but it was no where near as depressing as, say, a loss in the Kenny Natt era.

I agree Jimmer is a better passer. Besides that, everything MT has done in his career (with the exception of this year) is better than Jimmer. Nothing Jimmer has done in his minutes have ever demonstrated an ability to be a 20ppg scorer. Nothing.

But I know it's more fan to come on here like a weirdo shouting about the glory of Jimmer for a few weeks before the board gets tired of the act and sends you packing.

Jimmer played well tonight. Can't we just enjoy that without your shtick?
