"Kings trying to lure AK from Russia" Jones Tweet

We had to close the deal few days ago. Now he's going to sign with Prokhorov's Nets.
I don't know if it's our fault or Kirilenko was waiting for this offer.
I think he's gone. I hope I'm wrong, obviously.

If the money's the same NJ probably wins, but AK wants to live in CA and the money is probably not the same. I bet NJ is offering a 1yr deal.

Sam Amick: Kirilenko playing for CSKA Moscow and isn't necessarily looking to leave. If he does, eventual price tag could be approx $9 mil/yr for 3 yrs Twitter

Well if Nets are only offering a max 1 year deal, would seem we are still in it

The 9 mil 3 yrs sounds like our offer

At this point...right now...I, nor anyone else has no idea what Geoff Petrie has in mind for the Kings. I'm clueless.
I think we have a little idea of what Petrie is up to: Going hard after AK - he would already be a King is he just said yes. Every indication is the Kings are lukewarm on Dalembert, or vice versa, or both. Otherwise, what would the hold up be? The Crawford flirtation was a bit puzzling, but hopefully part of an ingenious if not evil plan to dominate the NBA. ;)

The trade do hickson and signing of Hayes marked the end for dalembert. People worried about time for 4 backcourt imagine 5 front court players not including whiteside or donte in that

I'm more concerned with a below-the-rim frontline that continues to get dominated in the paint.

Continues? Really? Have we already played? Cousins in second year jt goes from second big to fourth this isn't Kenny Thomas and brad miller anymore.

Absolutely. Dalembert still makes sense but I don't think he wants to be a King, just my own conclusion. JJ Hickson will provide some above the rim help, we'll see how committed he is to D.

Whiteside is still a year or two away from playing meaningful minutes, but he is such a presence on the court in those scrimmage videos. He will get abused by refs and vets early, but let the learning begin. Playing against Hayes and Cousins will help him immensely learn to use body positioning rather than raw athleticism, if he's willing...

Chuckwagon might be short, but his calling card is D....And he's locked up taller players on many an occasion. Hickson is anything but below the rim (although he is a terrible defender).

I'm bummed about us losing Dally too, but I'll wait and see...Our frontcourt has potential.

Heard NJ just amnestied Outlaw. Not looking good for the Kings + AK if true.
They have the money to sign AK outright, but unless they offer more than a 1-year deal, I don't think he ends up in NJ.

More than likely the Outlaw situation is tied to getting Howard in some fashion. As I've mentioned earlier, they basically have to do whatever it takes to land Howard, because if they don't, then they are going to lose Williams as well.

With the great deal NO just got, as well as competition from other teams, I'm expecting that the price for Howard is going to be huge.

They probably are trying hard for Howard. If it falls through soon - I bet AK is just waiting to see what happens there.

I really want him on the Kings roster. Maybe instead of offering to mow his lawn, the Maloof's should buy a billboard with Sacramento's hottest women on it - he has one free pass a year from his wife, no? :)

I know Marissa Miller is a Kings fan, and Milla Jovovich lived in Sacto for a while as a child... :p

There's also a porn star who was from North highlands, Barbi Benton went to my old high school, and didn't Winona Ryder grow up someplace nearby too? We can work this angle. :)

Milla Jovovich is Russian, so that IS a perfect angle to work from

We haven't lost Dalembert
