This team has only gotten better as the year progressed. Remember the first year Webber and Divac were here? We were pretty close to .500 at 17-22 and then kicked it into high gear near the end to finish 27-23 winning 10 of 11 games at the end.. This team in Feb and March which was supposed to be the TOUGHEST stretch we actually finished we are 19-9. That's pretty damn good for being our toughest stretch of the year!

Also on a side note.... WE HAVE THE SECOND BEST ROAD RECORD IN THE NBA! We are 24-14 on the road and Milwaukee is 25-14.. I almost want us to play on the road in the playoffs lol. We have a better road record than home record.. If we had Memphis's or Denver's home record our team would have a record of 58-20 or 56-21 right now. Once we win at home we will be unstoppable.

I see people in the other forum wanting to replace Barnes this year with that Celtic who is inferior to Barnes. Not sure why they would want to do this? I think we only need to change a couple minor pieces, only the 8-12th player. Bench wise we should definitely keep Monk, Lyles and Mitchell or TD. Probably Mitchell in case Fox is injured, but I wouldn't mind Monk filling in as PG too. Once the ball is in the front court we work a lot from the high post and Sabonis.

I really don't want to make any sudden or major changes to our roster. Next year I think we can be a 57 to 61 win team but I think we need to try to keep most of the players together. Keep that chemistry going, and GROW IT from what we have now.

I bet Fox is on cloud 9. He's worked so hard, and has had bad injury luck the previous 3 seasons. I am glad his best friend is here with him. I think Monk and Fox are amazing together.

Damn. Iowa is going to win this s***. I was... not rooting for that.

you weren’t rooting for a University that hasn’t been to the finals in over 30 years to beat the defending champs all while witnessing one of the greatest college basketball performances ever? Caitlin followed up a 40 point trip dub with another 40 point performance.

11 point dogs against a team that had 30 plus straight wins going into last season. One of the best basketball games I’ve ever watched, super stoked!

No, why would I? When I said that I got out of the team-rooting business, that was not limited to the NBA. And, if I were going to root for a college, it would not be a college that I did not matriculate from. Plus, I like Dawn Staley.

We were at the tunnel but it was covered up so we didn't really get to greet the players, the ushers kept Teej from trying to move up at all to do so at the end of the game. I did meet Kayte though, I asked if Monte was in town, I had some silly dream I could get him to sign my cap "retiring" it. I found a nice new one at the mall today, I said they'd have to win again before I bought a new one, I think I meant the big one but after 17 years the last 2 of 3 nights have been absolutely special. I don't recall ever seeing them win in Portland and it sure feels like every game I went to in Sacramento since 2010 or so was also an L.

Guy next to me tried to start a first round exit chant then walked out 2 mins later after we went on the run that completely shut down the game. LOL. Everyone was so awesome tonight. Red Velvet and Kessler Edwards especially. Domas needs to spend the off week with Lethal.

My kid was thundersticking the Blazers during their free throws which was a little tacky but it was working for a while :D

so much fun.

Well, folks...

You will not have the luxury of seeing me post my usual gameday comments for the final 5 games of the regular season, as I am off to Hawaii for a week (4/2 - 4/9), although I MIGHT get on for a few minutes the night of the 9th, but won't guarantee anything. So, in the event I do, I hope the Kings win...

But, since the KINGS did win tonight...

I have ONLY one thing to say, Fam Bam...

JUST.
MUTHA.
EFFING.
BEAM.
THAT.
ISH.

I learned something today…

I had to stop watching at half time and head out, with the intent of finishing the game later tonight.

Welp. Turns out, if you’re heading toward the mountains on 80 you can see the beam from the freeway. Never thought of the beam as a giant spoiler for the locals.
It's the best kind of spoiler because you don't know the score, just that it's worth finishing (it totally is worth watching the next 3 mins after "hey, why is this tightening up?").

Malik Monk now has the most assists by a reserve player in Sacramento history, with 285. It helps to be part of a historically powerful offense.

Coach Brown and Kayte Christensen both think he deserves consideration for Sixth Man of the Year.

https://sports.yahoo.com/malik-monk-bolsters-sixth-man-043340012.html

"So far, Monk has the second-most points among reserves with 1,007, is seventh in points per game off the bench at 13.6, third in total assists among reserves with 288 and fourth in assists per game (3.9) among reserves."

Well, I eventually decided that I will be taking my laptop with me to Hawaii, so I hope to be able to get on from there and still post throughout the week, however I won't make any guarantees. I won't be posting before tomorrow's game, but may be able to get on in the evening just to check in and see how things are going.

We're heading down the home stretch and, for the first time in what has felt like a million years, we ACTUALLY have something other than the draft lottery and free agency to look forward to after game 82 of the regular season concludes!!!

Where are you going? Just curious. My wife and I have been several times over the years and I'd like to go back again. The last time we went was in 2021 and we took my son and a friend of his to Oahu and the Big Island. We've also been to Kauai and Maui (last time there was in 2012 and I'd like to go back to that island again next).
